9 Best Things We Saw at New York Toy Fair 2015
With New York Toy Fair 2015 wrapped up, we rounded up the best of the best. The collectibles that were most desirable, the figures that were best designed, and the toys we couldn't wait to play with... er... give to our kids!
Take a look at our picks, then let us know your favorites in the comments.
This is actually two pieces, not one, but they go so nicely together! Or not so nicely, as the case might be…
Of Kotobukiya’s many excellent pieces, these ArtFX+ statues have got to be the most eye-catching and epic. The scene depicted here is sure to be a highlight of Avengers: Age of Ultron when it hits in May, but thanks to Koto it can live on forever on your bookshelf next to your desk while you scribble away at your Tony Stark/Bruce Banner fanfic. These are big pieces, with the Hulkbuster Iron Man clocking in at just short of a foot tall, and the sculpts are pretty remarkable in their detail. Just check out that Avengers “A” on Hulk’s shorts!
AC Unity No Longer Requires App For Unlocks
A new patch is rolling out for Assassin’s Creed Unity, today on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and tomorrow on PC.
Content exclusive to Initiates and the companion app will be made available to all players. While you can still use the companion app, it won’t be required to unlock chests in the main game.
Other changes in Patch 5 include a fix for the “Find Leon” objective, which sometimes did not spawn in the Dead Kings Memory 2 mission.

This Case Turns Your iPhone Into a DeLorean
If you could turn your iPhone into a time machine, why not do it with some style? You'll have to find your own flux capacitor, but the style part should be easy thanks to an iPhone 6 case that makes your smartphone look like the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future II.
It's no coincidence that this case appeared in 2015 -- year Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in 1989's Back to the Future II. This DeLorean has even been given the same modifications as the one in the popular sequel, including wheels that fold up for flight.
The case even lights up with blue LEDs along the lower edge of the car to simulate the DeLorean's blue glow as it jumps across time. As you can imagine, this is a pretty chunky cover, but it has movable parts to give access to the iPhone's ports and camera.

Giant Fireball Passes Over Pittsburgh
A large space rock entered Earth's atmosphere and passed over Pittsburgh Tuesday night.
Approximately two feet in diameter and weighing 500 pounds, NASA reports that the fireball was traveling at a speed of 45,000 miles per hour when it passed by Pittsburgh. It illuminated the sky as it passed over and was eventually lost to sight.
Speculation suggests that meteorites from the rock may be scattered on the ground outside of Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
Dabbling in Black Science with Rick Remender
Black magic is commonly understood to be the dark, forbidden kind of sorcery, but what if there was black science? That's the concept that writer Rick Remender and artist Matteo Scalera explore in their sci-fi comic book series Black Science.
The story follows a group as they bounce around through alternate dimensions encountering frog people with electric tongues and alternate versions of themselves. They built the dimension-hopping technology -- known as the Pillar -- to make our world a better place, but wound up on a wayward adventure, and now they just want to find their way home while also discovering the mysteries of the Eververse.
Two New Xenoblade Games Take Up a Lot of Space
Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D both release this year, and will take up a considerable amount of memory on Wii U and New 3DS, respectively.
According to Amazon Japan, Xenoblade Chronicles X will require more than 22.7 GB of space on Wii U hard drives; Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, the port of the 2010 Wii game, will require 3.6 GB.
Nintendo previously said that Xenoblade Chronicles X won't be compatible with the old 3DS because the handheld doesn't have enough CPU to run the game –– Nintendo improved the CPU with the New 3DS. Xenoblade Chronicles X will have Amiibo support, as well.

Some EVO Competitors May Need a New Fight Stick
The official rules for EVO 2015 have been posted, and one rule change could mean Ultra Street Fighter IV fighters will need to purchase new fighting sticks.
On the EVO section of the Shoryuken website, the game version for Ultra Street Fighter IV is listed as "US PlayStation 4." Previous years have seen world-warriors duking it out on the Xbox 360 version of the game. The 2015 rules made clear Mortal Kombat X will be played on PlayStation 4, as well.
According to Shoryuken, "PlayStation 3 was the console of choice early on," for Ultra Street Fighter IV, but the platform of choice shifted to Xbox 360 due to "frequent issues" with the PS3.
