X-Men Fans Need These Incredible House of X Figures

House of X and its sister series Powers of X make up one of the biggest and most game-changing X-Men stories in years, and it's only fitting those two stories are immortalized in action figure form. Hasbro has released new images of their upcoming House of X/Powers of X-inspired Marvel Legends series, along with a brand new movie-style Deadpool figure. To find out which iconic X-Men characters made the cut and get a closer look at all these new Marvel Legends releases, check out the slideshow gallery below: [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=x-men-fans-need-these-incredible-house-of-x-figures&captions=true"] Unsurprisingly, Hasbro is focusing mainly on the big guns with this House of X/Powers of X wave, with new versions of familiar faces Professor X, Cyclops, Magneto, Jean Grey and Wolverine. There are a few brand new additions to the Marvel Legends line, however, including Moira MacTaggert (arguably the most important character in this new X-Men era) and Omega Sentinel. Most figures also include Build-a-Figure pieces to construct a Tri-Sentinel, which should pair nicely with the recent Marvel Legends Nimrod and Hasbro's massive, crowdfunded Sentinel figure. X-Men movie fans will also be happy to see a new Deadpool 2-inspired Deadpool figure. This figure offers an alternative for those who didn't want to shell out extra for the previous Deadpool/Negasonic Teenage Warhead 2-pack. However, this figure isn't identical to the previous release, as it features Wade's dirty, battle-damaged look from later on in the sequel. Two other figures round out this batch of Marvel Legends reveals. Walgreens will offer an exclusive Silver Surfer with Mjolnir figure, inspired by Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw's Thanos Wins. And fresh off his role in the Marvel's Avengers video game, M.O.D.O.K. isn't getting an appropriately oversized Marvel Legends figure. M.O.D.O.K. was previously released as a Build-a-Figure back in the Toy Biz Marvel Legends days, but this new release will make it much cheaper and easier to add him to your collection. If you're not up-to-date on the X-Men franchise, watch our video recapping all the ways House of X and Powers of X changed the mutant status quo: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/10/09/marvels-x-men-now-have-a-bold-new-status-quo-ign-now"] [poilib element="accentDivider"] Jesse is a mild-mannered staff writer for IGN. Naomi: New DC Series in Development at The CW

The CW could soon be adding yet another DC series to its ever-growing superhero lineup. Deadline reports the network is developing an adaptation of Naomi, based on the 2019 limited series from writers Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker and artist Jamal Campbell. Naomi is being developed by New Gods director/co-writer Ava DuVernay and former Arrow writer/co-executive producer Jill Blankenship. DuVernay and Blankenship are both writing and executive producing the new series. Naomi will be produced through DuVernay’s Array Filmworks in association with Warner Bros Television. ComicsGallery_DC_20190123__NAOMI_Cv1_5c4b70373d65f8.21994955 Naomi revolves around a new teen heroine named Naomi McDuffie (her surname being a tribute to the late Dwayne McDuffie). Her eponymous comic series explores her struggle to come to terms with her newfound powers and her unusual role in the DC Universe. The character has also gone on to play a recurring role in Bendis' Young Justice comic. The official logline for Naomi reads, “'Naomi' follows a teen girl’s journey from her small northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse. When a supernatural event shakes her hometown to the core, Naomi sets out to uncover its origins, and what she discovers will challenge everything we believe about our heroes." Deadline doesn't specify whether Naomi is meant to be part of the Arrowverse, but given Blankenship's prior resume and the fact that the comic hinges on Naomi's place within the larger DCU superhero community, it seems likely the series will take place in the same world as The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman and the various other DC shows on The CW. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=arrows-best-episodes&captions=true"] Naomi is one of several new DC series in development at The CW. The network will be debuting Superman & Lois in February 2021, and we recently learned about a new Wonder Girl series focused on Yara Flor, a character who will soon be making her comic book debut as part of DC's Future State crossover. Black Lightning is also reportedly getting a spinoff focused on Jordan Calloway's Painkiller, one which seems intended to replace its parent series following its fourth and final season. Arrow was also expected to get a spinoff of its own in the form of Green Arrow and the Canaries, but there's been little word on that project since Arrow ended its eight season run in early 2020. Crash Bandicoot: Check Out New On the Run Gameplay

Crash Bandicoot made his return with a brand new games on consoles this year with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, but the bandicoot will be back again soon in a new adventure coming to mobile. And IGN has a new look at gameplay from Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! Watch the video above for a new look at four levels in On the Run, and read on for some more details about what to expect from these areas in the upcoming mobile runner.

Great Gate

Great Gate will see Crash attempting to scale a massive wooden grate, running across raised wooden platforms while using iron jump crates, returning from mainstay Crash games, to reach new heights. Venus Fly trap enemies are among the foes players will encounter. The official description reads:
"Deep in native villages and high amongst the treetops, the Great Gate is a sight to behold, even though Uka Ukahas scared all the villagers away. But if you start feeling above it all, there are plenty of thorny traps –and a couple Bandicoot eating plants –all too happy to bring you back down to earth."

Sewer or Later

Sewer or later brings the underground level from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back... well, back into the spotlight, as Crash scours the sewer tunnels for collectibles, fights scrubbers and spiders, and avoids barrels. The official description reads:
"Dark, dank and dangerous, if you run into any Scrubber Bubbletrons down here, then watch out, they’re here to clean up the sewers –and that includes pesky Bandicoots!"
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=crash-bandicoot-on-the-run-first-screenshots&captions=true"]

Dino-Might

Revisiting the prehistoric swampland players traversed in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Dino-Might will allow players to collect special items as they avoid lava traps, firey boulders, and intimidating geysers. The level's official description reads:
"Thick sludgy swamps, dinosaur bones, volcanic lava ... yup, this prehistoric track is hot-to-trot. No sweat for a blazing fast Bandicoot, though, right?"

Snow Go

On the Run features two snow levels: Bear It! and Snow Go, with the latter being featured in the gameplay above. Avoid pressing machines, robo-penguins, and robo-seals as you run through the level. Oh, and there are falling stalactites to further hamper your progress, too. The official description is:
"This winter wonderland looks heavenly, but there’s a no time for snow angels -stay frosty and watch out for robo-penguins and roboseals."
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/07/09/crash-bandicoot-on-the-run-announce-trailer"] Mobile publisher King confirmed On the Run! earlier this year, with a launch planned on iOS and Android phones. Those who pre-register will receive the Blue Hyena Skin from Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled at launch. Enemies like Dr. Neo Cortex, Dingodile, and more will appear, with levels offer secret paths and boss battles. Players will also have a base for Crash and Coco that can be built up and customized, and asynchronous multiplayer is also planned.
