Taika Waititi on How Thor: Love and Thunder Will Be Different From Ragnarok

Thor's next adventure may still be a ways away, but Director Taika Waititi is already giving fans an idea of what to expect from Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as how it differs from Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly via Heroic Hollywood, Waititi explains, “we’re sort of launching ourselves again on this adventure film, really. That was the thing really that I loved about doing Ragnarok, it felt like we were just putting Thor on a really cool adventure. There’s always like new things to see and do, and this one, I think we’re gonna double down a lot on that and have it bigger, bolder and brighter. There’s just gonna be some really crazy stuff in the film.”

Quentin Tarantino’s R-Rated Star Trek Movie May Be Canceled

Quentin Tarantino may no longer be helming an R-rated Star Trek film.

In an interview with Consequence of Sound, the writer-director was asked about his long-rumored Star Trek project.

"I think I’m steering away from Star Trek, but I haven’t had an official conversation with those guys yet," Tarantino said, ostensibly referring to the production team behind Star Trek.

Tarantino went on to say that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood felt like it could be his final film, despite the fact that it is his ninth film and he has publicly stated he wishes to make 10 feature films before retiring from directing.

We Build LEGO’s Massive, Impressive Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer

LEGO released this set in September 2019. We're reviewing it in anticipation of Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, which debuts in theaters on December 20, 2019.

The LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer is gargantuan. Mounted on its stand, it rests at nearly a foot-and-a-half tall. It is over three-and-a-half feet long (from fore to aft) and over two feet wide (from starboard to port). The photos don't do it justice; they shrink the spaceship down, by necessity, to the confines of a two-dimensional, rectangular frame. This model is something that has to be seen, up close and in-person, to fully appreciate — for both its three-dimensional scale and its surfeit of detail.

Suicide Squad’s David Ayer in Talks to Direct The Dirty Dozen Remake

Warner Bros. and Suicide Squad director David Ayer may be teaming up again for a different kind of film.

Ayer is reportedly in talks to direct a contemporary remake of The Dirty Dozen, a war film that originally came out in 1967, according to Variety.

Ayer is also in talks to pen the screenplay for the updated version, which will reportedly also follow a group of soldiers brought together on an important mission.

Ayer directed 2016's Suicide Squad and 2017's Bright, both starring Will Smith. There's no word yet on casting for the remake.

Cats Among the Biggest Box Office Flops of 2019

With 2019 coming to a close, it’s time to look back on those movies that you probably didn’t see. Yes, we’re delving into the biggest box office bombs of 2019, which the recently released Cats is now among.

As we did last year, we are limiting this to movies that opened wide (at least 1,000 theaters or more), and in most cases, these are films that failed to at least recoup their production budget from its worldwide tally, though, there are a few exceptions.

When you factor in the production budget, plus publicity and advertising costs, plus other expenditures like first-dollar gross points paid out to stars and/or filmmakers, it’s generally believed that a film should earn back at least twice its production budget to truly break even. So, we can’t consider a disappointing entry like Men In Black: International a true “bomb” since it took in $253.9 million worldwide ($80 million domestic, $173.9 million international) from a $110 million budget, despite being the lowest-grossing entry in that franchise’s history, and the same goes for Dora and the Lost City of Gold ($119.2 million worldwide, $49 million budget) as well.

Crunchyroll Adds a Bunch of Naruto Movies, Sailor Moon R Movie, Death Note, and More

Crunchyroll has teamed up with VIZ Media to bring a bunch of new movies to Crunchyroll, IGN has learned.

VIZ Media is the distributor behind anime films like the Naruto series and Sailor Moon R: The Movie, both of which will be coming to Crunchyroll.

The VIZ Media content will be available to Crunchyroll subscribers in the U.S. and Canada, and it will become available on December 18 and 19. The series One Punch Man will also be available in Latin America. Most of the offerings will come with the option for either subtitles or dubbing.

The full slate is as follows for Dec. 18:

Rick and Morty: How Much Time Has Passed Since Season 1?

The fifth episode of Rick and Morty: Season 4 is unusual in that it revolves around time travel, a concept creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have frequently said they want to avoid on the series. But as it turns out, a snake-themed Terminator parody isn't the only way time plays an important role in "Rattlestar Ricklactica." This episode also seems to clue us into exactly how much time has passed between Season 1 and Season 4.

Reddit user BarnyardCruz points out an interesting detail about this episode. "Rattlestar Ricklactica" is only the second episode of the series to take place at Christmas, with the first being Season 1's "Anatomy Park." That would seem to suggest that roughly a year has passed between Season 1, Episode 3 and Season 4, Episode 5.

9 Biggest Video Game Leaks of 2019

Leaks are complicated. On one hand, they cut through the frustratingly high level of secrecy that shrouds game development. On the other, they rob publishers and developers of their big coming out parties, a time of elation and celebration during which they're finally able to share their work with the world after years of contractual silence. Love them or hate them, leaks happen, and 2019 was no exception.

Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch

The Witcher 3 for Switch was first leaked in the final days of 2018, when a port for the beloved RPG was listed by a French retailer. A second leak, posted to ResetEra, would occur in late May, shortly before Nintendo’s scheduled E3 Direct.
