Fortnite Chapter 2 Leaker Sued by Epic Games

Epic Games is suing a UX tester for leaking details for Fortnite Chapter 2 ahead of its official release, according to new court documents.

As reported by Polygon, in a lawsuit filed to North Carolina courts Epic Games is accusing Ronald Sykes, or @inviiblellama9, or leaking information about Fortnite Chapter 2. In a court document, Epic says that the company is, “suing Sykes because he broke his contractual obligation to keep Epic’s secrets about the upcoming season of Fortnite, Epic’s popular video game.”

Epic claims that information “is currency,” and that Sykes “cashed in on what he learned as a User Experience tester for Epic.” The company is asking for injunctive relief and maximum damages for the leaks and breach of a non-disclosure agreement, along with legal fees.

Ryan Reynolds Almost Played This Role in Zombieland 2

Ryan Reynolds was the first choice for the role of Albuquerque in Zombieland: Double Tap.

The writers of Zombieland (also the writers of Reynolds' Deadpool movies) spoke to Deadline about their long-awaited zombie sequel. They revealed that scheduling and Reynolds' desire to spend time with his family led to the role going to Luke Wilson.

“We made it a goal to do only Ryan Reynolds movies,” Paul Wernick joked. “But this one slipped through our fingers. Luke was amazing and it worked out terrific for us.”

Why Disney Can’t Buy Theater Chains

You might think that Disney can do just about anything, and you’d almost be right. They’re extremely powerful and they’re taking over rival studios and controlling multiple streaming services, but there are still limits to just how far they can expand. We know this because other studios tried it and they eventually got busted.

First, a primer: Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox earlier this year will have long-lasting ramifications on the film industry, some of which are probably easy to predict, some less so. While many audience members are celebrating the fact that the X-Men can now join forces with the Avengers (eventually), there are many practical concerns that have people throughout the industry deeply concerned.

Avengers: Endgame Almost Had Hulk and Banner Talk to Each Other

The writers of Avengers: Endgame almost included a scene where Hulk and Bruce Banner talked to each other.

Co-writer Christopher Markus told Cinema Blend that the scene would've taken place after Hulk snaps his fingers wearing the Infinity Gauntlet and brings everybody back. In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos sees a young Gamora after he snaps his fingers. So, the writers imagined what Bruce Banner would've seen.

"We did actually write a version, and this existed before The Ancient One scene was slowly beaten out, but there was a version where it was Banner talking to The Hulk… and we never shot it, but it was kind of a cool thing to get them both on screen together interacting," Markus said.

Pirates of the Caribbean Reboot in the Works at Disney (Again)

Pirates of the Caribbean is reportedly being rebooted at Disney with the creator of Chernobyl teaming up with a writer on the first four films to work out a story.

Deadline reports that Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, Scary Movie 3) and Ted Elliott (Aladdin, National Treasure: Book of Secrets) are working together to crank out a story that will reboot the blockbuster series. Jerry Bruckheimer is likely to return as a producer, but it's unknown if Johnny Depp will be back on board.

If this story sounds familiar, it's because it was reported about a year ago that Disney hired Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to write a Pirates reboot. However, they left the project earlier this year.

The Outer Worlds: Here’s How Long It Takes To Beat

Today is launch day for The Outer Worlds, and as countless gamers start their journey into Obsidian's latest RPG, many of them are wondering how long it will last them. A few of us here at IGN have already burned through it, so here are our answers to that question.

Dan Stapleton, Reviewer

The clock on my save file read about 30 hours when I wrapped up the final mission, though it's important to remember that this number doesn't reflect the amount of time you spend between the most recent autosave and when you die. And though I sailed through the first half without many deaths, I then turned the difficulty up from Normal to Hard and found myself biting the dust fairly regularly if I didn't take my time when planning out a fight in advance. (In the interest of finishing in time for the review I ended up turning it back down to Normal for the final mission, which is not super easy!)
