Gamers are Using a Meme to Show the Softer, Nicer Side of Video Games

Video games came under attack following the tragic mass shooting incidents in Gilroy, Dayton, and El Paso. Since blaming video games for gun violence doesn't make sense, gamers across the internet have been using a meme template to show just how harmless and cute gaming can truly be.

The "Woman Yelling at a Cat" meme combines an image of Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pointing and yelling with a picture of a harmless cat sitting behind a dinner plate, because internet humor has become a bizarre mix of deep cut pop culture references and... cats.

Why Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s Reach PC ‘FireFlight’ Was Delayed

343 Industries has delayed the Halo: Reach PC "FireFlight" that was originally planned for July due to "severe blocking bugs," meaning that those hoping to try out the first game to be released in the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC will have to wait a bit longer.

343 Industries published a blog on HaloWaypoint.com to update Halo fans as to why the planned flighting hasn't happened yet and what these "blocking bugs" are.

Blocking Bugs are issues that "are deemed severe enough to prevent a flight from functioning as needed." As development proceeds, a flighting build must pass certain tests called "Rings," without these blocking issues, before it is made available to Halo Insiders.

Ufotable’s Demon Slayer Stirs Up the Shonen Anime Formula

Ever since the end of reigning titles like Naruto and Bleach, it seems like shonen anime has favored treading new ground and indulging in the wild and exciting, rather than sticking to a standard formula. Amongst new hits are series like The Promised Neverland, a dazzling dystopian thriller, Dr. STONE, a fantasy adventure that’s all about scientific inventions, and We Never Learn, a school life comedy that as sweet as it is romantic.

Amongst all of these newcomers, though, is the rather quiet and somewhat under the radar series, Kimetsu no Yaiba, or more commonly known as Demon Slayer. Now adapted by the mighty Ufotable (the studio behind the renowned Fate franchise, including Fate/Zero, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works, and the Heavens Feel movie trilogy), the series has kicked off its training wheels and entered some of the more exciting arcs. With about half its promised run left, Demon Slayer has proven itself to be a fantastic ride that lives up to the hype of its sibling Shonen Jump titles with its high production values and equally compelling story about revenge, redemption, and family.

The collected communities are still dealing with the after-effects of Alpha’s horrific display of power, reluctantly respecting the new borderlines being imposed on them, all while organizing themselves into a militia-style fighting force, preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable. But the Whisperers are a threat unlike any they have ever faced. Backed by a massive horde of the dead it is seemingly a fight they cannot win.
