FCC Filing May Have Revealed a SNES Controller for Nintendo Switch
A recent FCC filing may have revealed Nintendo's plan to release a wireless Super Nintendo controller for the Nintendo Switch, which would be very similar to its release of the wireless NES controllers alongside the addition of NES games to Nintendo Switch Online.
Discovered by ResetERA user Link83, the filing includes a single image that very much resembles the back of a SNES controller. Furthermore, the model number - HAC-042 - is inline with other Nintendo Switch model numbers. The Switch itself is HAC-001 and the wireless NES Controllers are HAC-033 and HAC-034.
You’ll Be Able to Play All Future Quantic Dream Games on Multiple Platforms
Every game made by Quantic Dream going forward will be multiplatform, says the studio's founder and head David Cage.
Despite not being a Sony first-party studio, Quantic Dream is known for producing PlayStation exclusives. Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and most recently Detroit: Become Human were all initially launched as PlayStation exclusives, and are only now coming to PC this year. However, David Cage told Dualshockers that his team now wants to “work on different platforms and reach players all around the world.”
He said, “Quantic Dream is not exclusive to any platform anymore. So yes, unless there are some specific exclusivity deals on a title-by-title basis, all our games will be released on all platforms at launch.”
Marvel’s Tale of Two Thors Redefines What It Means to Be Worthy
Marvel Comics writer Jason Aaron has been telling a Thor story so grand and epic that it’s taken over seven years to complete. While it doesn’t reach its grand finale until the end of 2019, it’s already been deemed one of the best comic book runs of all time, superhero or otherwise. Its narrative strength comes from a complex structure that allows the story to unfold across multiple timelines and its overall meditation on what it means to be worthy. As we all know, Thor is a mighty god and bold hero who smashes armies and saves worlds, all because he’s worthy to wield a weapon of astonishing power. But what if something happens that makes him unworthy to lift his trusty hammer, Mjolnir? What is left of the character when his worthiness fails? This is the question at the core of Aaron’s story that he explores to deliver the most brutal, honest and epic Thor tale of all time.

Unpacking: A Life Story Told Through a Series of Moves
Moving house is an inherently stressful activity. Or, at the very least, it’s an activity that we rarely relish undertaking. There’s just so much work – taking the sum material total of your life and decanting it with care into boxes upon boxes upon boxes. Why do we have so much stuff? And even when everything’s packed, you’ve still got to thoroughly clean the old place, in the hopes of getting your bond back without any further discussion. And once that’s done, it’s on to the new destination to sift through all that stuff and find homes for it all.
That part, at least, isn’t all bad – you can do it somewhat at your own pace, and you’re making a new environment your own. “I think unpacking is not an un-fun process,” says Wren Brier, one half of the Australian duo leading the development of the zen puzzle game Unpacking. “Packing is pretty stressful, but unpacking is not as stressful and there's more enjoyment in it.”
Bandai Namco is Investigating a Potential Bomb Threat At Its US Office
Bandai Namco is currently investigating a potential bomb threat that was called into their U.S. office in Santa Clara, California, IGN has learned.
Acting on a tip, IGN contacted Bandai Namco about a possible bomb threat made to its offices, and whether it was a credible threat. Bandai Namco provided the following statement:
“We can’t provide any comment regarding the validity of the threat as there is an ongoing investigation in progress. We can say that all our employees are safe and that we will be doing everything in our power to safeguard the well being of our employees.”
IGN has contacted the Santa Clara police department to find out more about the situation as it develops, though we were informed the local department has at least yet to be alerted to the threat. As Bandai Namco continues its investigation, it’s currently unclear whether or not the threat is a legitimate one or ultimately a hoax. Regardless, it’s still a crime, and points to a worrying pattern.
