Bloodlines 2 Getting Free DLC Post-Launch

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be offering players free DLC after it launches next year.

In an interview with IGN at E3 2019, the development team told IGN that they would be releasing at least two new vampiric clans to players after the game launches in early 2020.

While they wouldn't get into the specifics of which clans and abilities we'll be seeing, the differences between the five clans we've already seen - the Brujah, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue, and Malkavian - are each designed to let players make their way through the game in unique ways. Two additional clans on top of that could potentially add dozens of additional gameplay hours to Bloodlines 2.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Sequel Is Not Related to Majora’s Mask

After Nintendo showed the trailer for Breath of the Wild's sequel, eager fans speculated that the tone possibly suggested that it's related to Ocarina of Time's direct sequel -- Majora's Mask, or that the Mask would be in the game itself.

During an interview at the Nintendo booth with IGN, Director and Producer of the Zelda Series, Eiji Aonuma, confirmed that the sequel will not in fact be related to Majora's Mask, despite the darker tone.

"The new Breath of the Wild or the sequel to it, it’s not necessarily going to be related to Majora’s mask or inspired by it... What we showed you currently is a little darker," Aonuma said.

Dark Phoenix Repeats the Worst Sins of X-Men: The Last Stand

The most iconic X-Men story from Marvel’s comics is the Dark Phoenix Saga, so there’s little wonder why it was a part of 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and why we got another take on the tale in the new film Dark Phoenix. But unfortunately the Phoenix fails to rise from the ashes in this new effort and in fact makes many of the same mistakes that made the last one a dud. Even though this was supposed to be Fox’s do-over on Jean Grey’s big story, they once again misplayed their hand, leaving us with a frustrating case of history repeating itself.

It’s worth pointing out how The Last Stand was co-written by Simon Kinberg (along with Zak Penn), and this time Kinberg not only wrote the film but directed it. Kinberg has spoken about how he regrets cramming the Dark Phoenix storyline into The Last Stand and making it the B-plot to the Cure storyline, and how he planned on getting Dark Phoenix right this time by focusing the movie solely on Jean’s harrowing journey. Yet with 13 years to reflect on what went wrong the first time, Kinberg still made many of the same mistakes.

Marvel’s Response to a Possible Avengers/Spider-Man Game Crossover

While Crystal Dynamics didn’t confirm it, comments from Marvel left the door open for a potential crossover between Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel’s Avengers.

During today’s stream of the E3 Coliseum, Marvel’s Bill Rosemann was asked about the possibility of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 crossing over with Marvel’s Avengers, to which he responded “Last time we were here, a year ago, discussing that certain character, the roof caught on fire. And if I was to comment on that character now, I think the roof would fall on my head! So I will just say, right now we’re just focused on creating the best Avengers game.”

This non-answer had a definite air of humor, but it was delivered in a way that suggested Rosemann was side-stepping the question instead of outright saying no, which would have been a much simpler solution if it were the truth. This answer leaves the door open to a shared gaming universe that Spider-Man and The Avengers could potentially share in the future.

See Real Marvel’s Avengers Costumes From The E3 Floor

Seeing Square Enix's take on the Avengers' look was a little jarring after so many years of their Marvel Cinematic Universe counterparts dominating our brains, but there's plenty to like about these new costumes. The Avengers Day booth on the E3 show floor has rolled out honest-to-goodness physical versions of the outfits we saw in the gameplay-free reveal trailer last night, including Thor's hammer Mjölnir, Captain America's shield, and Bruce Banner's iconic wingtips and lab coat. Check out the gallery below for an up-close look at these detailed props.

Marvel Offers Hope for Hawkeye Fans in Avengers Game

In Marvel's Avengers Showcase panel at E3, Creative Director for Marvel Games, Bill Rossman, hinted at Hawkeye joining the game in the future.

The panel was hosted by Andrea Rene from What's Good Games, featuring Shana Bryant, Vince Napoli, and Megan Marie from Crystal Dynamics, along with Rossman on stage.

Rossman specifically pointed out that they heard about the characters people didn't see in the trailer, but wanted to.

"We love all of the characters. We love Hawekeye," Rossman said.

The Outer Worlds Will Have Multiple Endings

The Outer Worlds will have multiple endings based on how you play.

In an interview with IGN at E3 2019, Megan Starks - Senior Narrative Designer for Outer Worlds - confirmed "there are many different endings" based on how you play but just how many endings there are will remain a mystery until the game comes out.

One of the main characteristics of this extreme capitalist dystopia is the fact that you can play however you want, from threatening quest givers to picking locks instead of heading straight for the door. So you'll have to play through The Outer Worlds multiple times to see all the core story beats it has to offer.

TMNT and Marvel Arcade1up Cabinets Coming This Fall

Towering above the E3 landscape is a 16-foot behemoth of an arcade cabinet. Arcade1up is known primarily for shrinking cabinets down, to a much more manageable 4-foot size, but with the enormous crowds moving about the floor of the LA Convention Center, an oversize arcade cabinet is a good way to bring attention to the ones you'll be able to bring home this fall.

Arcade1up, who've previously taken such classics as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat and made them easier to bring home, is showing off its new 4-player cabinets on the floor of E3 2019.

Coming out October 13, 4-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Marvel Super Heroes cabinets are playable now at E3. That doesn't do you any good if you're not at E3, so here are some nice photos to make up for it.

Every Alien in the Men in Black Movies

With Men in Black: International opening this week, we thought now would be a good time to take a look at the many varieties of aliens featured in the previous films. There are a lot of them.

Over three movies and 14 years as partners, Agents K and J have dealt with dozens of different kinds of both friendly and hostile alien creatures. Some look human and some look more like subway-sized worms. Added together they convey a sense of galactic diversity on par with the best of Star Trek and Star Wars.

Without further ado, here are all the aliens in the original Men in Black trilogy. Needless to say, this slideshow contains big spoilers for the first three MiB movies.
