Good news, everyone! It’s that time of year: Spring. But also, time for the NVC crew to sit down, duke it out, and figure out which games make our Top 25 Nintendo Switch list for Spring 2019. Twice a year, we cram into a room and debate each other on what games should be added, taken off of, or moved on our list so that you, the reader, can enjoy the best that the Nintendo Switch has to offer. Update: Borderlands Actor Says Gearbox CEO Should Fact Check Tweets

Update 04/18/19: Troy Baker has said that he "would love to come back" to play Rhys in Borderlands 3, and suggested that Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford should "fact-check" his tweets.

Following on from Pitchford's claims that Baker turned down the part of Rhys in the upcoming game, Troy Baker has clarified his position in an interview with OnlySP: “I said I would love to come back,” he said. “They

said I’m not coming back.”

“Their timeline tells an interesting story," he adds, in reference to comments from Gearbox. "I think it’s interesting that Randy Pitchford tweeted out that I turned it down, and then he said he heard that I turned it down. I would fact check before I tweeted out to the internet.”

Netflix’s Flinch Gets a Wacky New Trailer

Netflix has a new game show that puts its contestants in some pretty wacky situations. Premiering on May 3, Flinch "is a game show where contestants are put in situations where they are tempted to flinch. If they flinch, they are electrocuted and lose their chance at winning prize money," according to a synopsis from Netflix.

For your first look at this charming new series, check out the trailer below:

The streaming giant is comparing Flinch to similar reality shows like Impractical Jokers, Fear Factor, and Jackass. Hosted by Desiree Burch, Lloyd Griffith, and Seann Walsh, the 10-episode season will feature popping balloons, dangerous mousetraps, and many more frightening things that may cause the contestants to flinch.

Update: Nintendo eShop Back Online After Release of Smash Bros. Joker

Update 04/18/2019: The Nintendo of America Twitter account has announced that the issues with the eShop have been resolved, and access should now be available. It does warn that there may be intermittent errors, though.

Fortnite: World Cup Creative Announced by Epic Games

Epic Games has added a new event to the $100 million prize pool Fortnite World Cup event – Fortnite: World Cup Creative, which will run specifically from April 29 to June 7.

The World Cup Creative will consist of five showcase events and five different trials – all from community creators. Each event will focus on a new Creative game, with fifteen participants then being selected to compete in the Creative competition at the Fortnite World Cup Finals.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been updated with a stage builder, allowing players to create their own arenas to do battle in. Naturally, players are using the tool to draw pictures of penises.

If you were to log into Smash Bros. Ultimate now and browse the user-created stages, you may discover some sexualised imagery, alongside plenty of other designs that could be considered ‘poor taste’.

It has become a big talking point on Twitter, with users sharing their various phallic finds.
