Ant-Man and the Wasp may have chronicled the story of Scott Lang, Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne attempting to rescue the long-lost Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm, but along the way it also subtly sowed seeds for the debut of two teams from Marvel’s comics -- teams that could be part of the as-of-yet unrevealed Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Anime Studio Trigger Launches a Patreon
The animation studio behind Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia, Studio Trigger, has started a Patreon.
The idea of Trigger launching a Patreon first popped up last year, but members from Trigger revealed at their 2018 Anime Expo panel that they were making the Patreon a reality. During the panel, they stated that this Patreon is meant to support the studio and its animators. The Trigger Patreon page reveals more:
"We’re a studio that strives for a global audience and values communications with our fans. If you've been in a creative business, I bet we can all relate that a simple feedback is all it takes to make our day great. However, there’s no denying at times we wished we had an extra buck or two. There’s been one too many incidents where we had to give up a merchandise idea because it was unprofitable, or simply due to lack of funding. That’s where you and Patreon comes in! With your support, we would like to forward funds into various aspect of the studio. Possibly a new line of merchandise, attending/conducting more events, or simply providing a little more to our staff."
Explaining the 12 Monkeys Finale’s Biggest Twist
This interview contains spoilers for series finale of Syfy's 12 Monkeys.
Syfy’s 12 Monkeys has finished its loop. The finale saw Team Splinter gather its forces -- including a few familiar (and recently dead) faces -- to stop The Witness and Titan from destroying time.
And, spoiler alert, they did. The Witness was killed, our heroes re-wrote the timeline, and surprisingly, everyone got a happy ending. But just because all of time and reality was saved, doesn’t mean there aren’t still questions to be answered.
Spider-Man and Doctor Strange Co-Creator Steve Ditko Dies
Legendary comics artist and Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko has died at age 90.
THR reports Ditko was found dead in his apartment on June 29. No cause of death has been announced, but it is believed Ditko passed away two days earlier.
Ditko, along with Stan Lee, came up with the idea for Spider-Man in 1961 after Lee wasn't satisfied with Jack Kirby's take on a teenage superhero with spider powers.
Ditko is credited with creating Spider-Man's costume, its red and blue design, and the web shooters. He also helped create a variety of classic Spidey villains, such as Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and the Lizard.

Meet the Fans Resurrecting a Legendary Cancelled LEGO Bionicle Game
When Bionicle: Tales of the Tohunga was released for the GameBoy Advance back in 2001, it was poorly received, to say the least. A licensed game themed around LEGO’s hugely popular Bionicles figures, IGN gave it a 4.5, saying “I've had more fun watching my grandmother play bingo.” It even immediately faced legal trouble, having to be renamed post-launch after Maori tribes from New Zealand complained about LEGO’s blatant cultural appropriation.
But Bionicles fans still found something to like in it, and those who managed to beat it were rewarded with a glimpse at what was next. The GBA game ended with a special cutscene showing the mythical Toa arriving on the island of Mata Nui, an exciting tease for a planned PC-exclusive sequel called Bionicle: The Legend of Mata Nui -- but 17 years later that sequel has still never materialised.
5 References to the ‘PlayStation5′ and ‘Xbox Two’ Next-Gen Consoles
While we’re constantly speculating on what the future of video games has in store, E3 2018 marked the beginning of folks in the industry directly referencing the next generation of consoles. Not mid-generation improvements like the Pro and the X, but, for lack of official names, the PlayStation 5 and the “Xbox Two,” which seems to be codenamed Scarlet. More on that later.
From rumors to speculation to concrete details, here are are 5 references to the next generation of consoles that came out of E3 2018.
Next-gen talk kicked into gear during the final moments of Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference. After showing off extended demos Rage 2 and Fallout 76, both of which should be in our hands in less than a year, Todd Howard capped off the show with two brief, but important announcements. Starfield, the long-rumored “third open-world pillar” for Bethesda, and The Elder Scrolls 6.
Guild Wars 2 Writers Fired After Twitter Dispute With Streamer
Writers Jessica Price and Peter Fries were let go by developer ArenaNet after a contentious Twitter exchange with a partnered YouTuber Thursday.
It began Tuesday when Price tweeted out a thread that expanded on a recent Reddit AMA regarding how to develop personable characters in an MMO. She outlined the difficulty in crafting a unique character, which is also supposed to act as a cypher for a multitude of diverse players.
"The dirty secret is I'm not sure if it's possible to make an MMORPG (or CRPG) character compelling, because people have different expectations about what that character will be, as opposed to a pre-designed character in a single-player game," she tweeted.
The 15 Best Comic-Con 2018 Panels to Be Excited For
Comic-Con 2018 is going to be a weird one compared to usual years, at least in regard to its panels. Marvel won’t have its traditionally enormous movie panel that usual gives us a glimpse at upcoming movies, and HBO won’t be bringing a hard hitter like Game of Thrones.
But that doesn’t mean this year’s panel line-up isn’t still a busy one! There will be tons of talks with footage from new movies, TV shows, comics, and games, all of which are sure to be loaded with surprises. Here are 15 panels we're most excited about.
