Fortnite Season 5 Patch Notes Reveal Desert Biome, New Vehicle

Epic has released the official patch notes for Fortnite's big Season 5 update just as downtime goes into effect.

The map is indeed getting an update with a new desert biome, although it's not yet clear if this covers the entire map or just a portion. Paradise Palms and Lazy Links are the two latest named locations to join the map.

A new vehicle named the All Terrain Kart (ATK) is being added and will fit your entire squad. Rear passengers can lean back and release at the same time to help leap over jumps and obstacles. The roof of the new vehicle acts as a bounce pad.

Shotguns now indicate the number of pellets hit within the reticle. The Heavy Shotgun can now fire 10 pellets instead of five, and players who fire a shotgun won't be able to to switch to a second shotgun for "a very short time."

Valve Will Start Tailoring Steam’s ‘Upcoming’ Tab to Users’ Interests

Valve has introduced a number of changes to Steam users' "Upcoming" tab.

In a post, Valve detailed how the tab will now be customized for each user, showing games based upon individuals' wishlists and pre-purchases and highlighting games from developers and publishers each user owns past games from.

"We believe Steam does a good job of taking early customer interest (even if that interest isn't enormous) and helps a game amplify that interest through connection to quality customers," reads the post. "This smarter list on the front page aims to do just that."
