The First Purge Comes to Halloween Horror Nights 2018
Halloween Horror Nights, the annual nighttime event held at Universal Studios resorts, is receiving a haunted maze based on The First Purge for their Hollywood location.
As reported by Forbes, this haunted maze is modeled after The First Purge film, which will come alive as the Purge surges across the theme park in its inaugural outing. It will reportedly place guests "at the heart of a controversial sociological experiment empowered by the New Founding Fathers of America."

Netflix Got More Emmy Nominations Than HBO, But Does It Matter?
Netflix's quest for TV domination just got another boost - the streaming service just ended HBO's 17-year streak as the most nominated network at the Emmy Awards, racking up a total of 112 nominations heading into the 2018 ceremony, versus HBO's (still impressive) 108 nods. Check out the full list of 2018 Emmy nominations here.
But HBO's shows still lead the pack in terms of the most-nominated series: Game of Thrones made a triumphant return to the ballot after being unable to compete in last year's Emmy race because it aired outside the eligibility window (June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017); this year, it racked up the most nominations of any series with 22 in total, including Best Drama, as well as supporting actor and actress nods for all three Lannisters, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. (HBO also holds the record for network with the most nominations in a single year - it scored 126 in 2015.)
Fortnite and Destiny Fans Help Raise Money for Charity at GuardianCon
Fortnite and Destiny fans are helping to raise money for charity during this year's GuardianCon.
GuardianCon, an annual two-day event taking place at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida this Friday and Saturday, will host a number of panels and live-stream events to raise money for the event's charity partner, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The conference follows a week-long charity streaming marathon, hosted on the GuardianCon Twitch channel. During this year's marathon, fans raised over $2.7 million to help cover operating costs for St. Jude.
Friday, panels on the Evolution of Content Creation, the Game Attack Game Show, and a St. Jude Keynote presentation will be featured on the main stage, and a panel by the developers of Warframe will follow on Saturday.
7 Lesser Known Changes in Fortnite Season 5
What We Know About Fallout 76 By Looking at Its Map
Not unlike a blockbuster film or other major event, rumor and speculation follow in the wake of the announcement of the newest game in the long-running Fallout franchise. While some unease surrounds Fallout 76’s brand-new multiplayer focus, the details of the West Virginia-based map (which, so far, has palpable Fallout 3 vibes) has proved to be a major point of interest. Even at its E3 conference, Bethesda only revealed bits and pieces of the world waiting for us on its November 14, 2018 release.
But rather than wait months for Bethesda to unveil it, I spent some time assembling the pieces in front of us to form a more complete picture of Fallout 76’s setting.
PlayStation Network Experiencing Some Gaming Issues
While most services are operating as intended, the PSN is currently experiencing some issues with gaming and social features.
"You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience," a warning on the PlayStation Network service status page reads under the "Gaming and Social tab."
Warframe Dev Investigating Cross-Play Options
A Nintendo Switch port of Warframe was only just announced last week, but developer Digital Extremes is already fielding questions about the potential for cross-play functionality with other platforms. Digital Extremes is open to it, even if it's not ready to make a formal announcement just yet.
“Since announcing Warframe coming to the Switch, we've received an incredible amount of positive reception from both our community and Nintendo players,” Studio Manager Sheldon Carter told TechRadar. “We’re exploring all options for people to play on and with the Nintendo Switch.”
