How Dota Plus Could Influence Other Major Competitive Games
With the rise of MOBAs, digital card games, survival shooters, and other “games as a service” titles, it feels like the question on every developer’s mind is “how do we monetize our game?” That may sound like a jab at “loot box culture”, but in truth it's just the state of modern gaming given the popularity of free-to-play titles and microtransactions. Assuming the monetization is fair and balanced, this cycle can be a win for both the player and developer. Valve’s latest attempt to answer that question is Dota Plus, a new subscription service that aims to revolutionize the Dota 2 experience and keep players hooked for years to come.
10 Netflix Horror Films Too Scary to Finish
After the release of Netflix's terrifying new horror film Veronica (check out our full review here), the streaming provider began to notice trends in how their viewers are watching certain scary movies -- or should we say, "not watching" them. According to data released by Netflix, in many cases people who have watched at least 70% of a horror movie never make it to the end, which the streaming service took to mean that the film is just too scary to finish.
Furthur analysis from Netflix revealed the top 10 horror films people bailed on. Drake and Ninja’s Fortnite Twitch Stream Wasn’t a Sponsored Gimmick
Last night, musician Drake joined forces with Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and the pair streamed Fortnite together, to the amusement of the internet. But for those wondering, it wasn't just a sponsored event or planned gimmick.
According to TMZ, and confirmed by IGN, the get-together, which smashed Twitch's streaming records, was unplanned. Apparently Drake, a big Fortnite fan himself, simply reached out to Ninja last week on Instagram to schedule some time to play together.
Sam Raimi Announces The Grudge Reboot and Cast
A reboot to the 2004 horror film The Grudge has been announced, with Sam Raimi producing.
Variety reports Sony Pictures' new take on the movie will star Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight) and Andrea Riseborough (Battle of the Sexes). Nicolas Pesce reportedly will direct from a script he wrote. Production is set to begin in May, but no release date has been set yet.

PUBG Mobile Gets Surprise Western Beta Launch
Long awaited PUGB on Mobile comes to the West with an Android Beta available now in Canada.
The official PUBG Mobile Twitter account made the announce with a link to the install page for Android users.

The Crew 2 Release Date Announced
Ubisoft has announced The Crew 2 will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 29, 2018.
Ubisoft Ivory Tower's new open-world racing game, which was originally slated to launch on March 16, features a redesigned United States for players to explore as they collect cars planes, boats, and bikes with the goal of becoming the top motorsports champion of the land, water, and sky.
Players who want to dive in early can pick up $110 USD The Crew 2 Motor Edition, which grants access to the game on June 26. This Ubisoft Store exclusive also includes:
Overwatch: Brigitte Now Available on All Platforms
Update: Blizzard has announced that Brigitte is officially now live and playable for everyone on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The daughter of weapons designer, Torbjörn Lindholm, Brigitte is the 27th hero to join the Overwatch roster. Read on below for more details on all of her attacks.

After being available for play on the PTR, Brigitte is finally coming to competitive and quickplay modes.
Blizzard announced today that Brigitte will be available to play on March 20 for all players after a period of time on the PTR.
ARK: Survival Evolved Is Coming To Mobile
ARK: Survival Evolved is getting a mobile, free-to-play release for iOS and Android “soon.”
Hugely popular Jurassic-era survival game ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to mobile,“this spring,” according to a new update from developer War Drum Studios. This new mobile version of the game will be the, “full online experience,” as seen on PC and console but instead be released as free-to-play when it comes to iOS and Android.
As well as all the crafting, building, taming and Tribe multiplayer elements of ARK: Survival Evolved, a few new additions will be made to accommodate the transition to the smaller screen. These include a single player mode, faster-paced gameplay, a new “specialized” control scheme and a new user interface.
Tribeca Film Festival to Include Exclusive Shadow of the Tomb Raider Extended Demo
This year's Tribeca Film Festival will include an exclusive demo for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and a panel about upcoming PS4 exclusive, God of War.
The festival will include an exclusive, extended gameplay preview of September 14 release Shadow of the Tomb Raider followed by a discussion with the game's creative team and Camilla Luddington, who portrays Lara in the game. The event will be moderated by Geoff Keighley, producer of The Game Awards.
The Tomb Raider panel will be held on April 27 at 4 p.m. ET at the BMCC Tribeca PAC.
God of War Creative Director Cory Barlog will take players inside the creative process of moving the upcoming PS4 exclusive from Greek to Nordic settings, in a panel focused on what went into re-imagining the franchise. Festival-goers will also have a chance to get their hands on the game during the event, as the panel takes place after its release.
