Avengers: Infinity War Finds Captain America and Black Widow as ‘Disillusioned’ Heroes

Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War sees Thanos bringing the hurt as he vies to collect all six Infinity Stones in order to achieve godlike power, but Earth’s mightiest heroes aren’t exactly in a great position to stop him. The events of Captain America: Civil War left the team fractured, which has had a huge impact on two founding Avengers: Captain America and Black Widow.

During a visit to the Atlanta set of Infinity War, IGN and a small group of press talked to actors Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson about what their characters have been up to in-between movies, and let’s just say the picture they painted isn’t pretty.

“They’re more hardened,” Johansson said, describing how the two heroes have teamed up and gone underground so they can still help those who need it, despite the fact that they’re now doing it without backup or resources. “When you’re fighting for something that you know is important but is not being really recognized or supported by a larger organization or even like, society as a whole … it takes a certain toll, and you can get feelings about it in a way.”

Abe’s Exoddus Remake Reveal Possibly Teased for March 20

Oddworld Inhabitants is teasing a reveal for March 20 that looks like it might just be related to their Abe's Exoddus remake, Oddworld: Soulstorm.

Soulstorm was announced back in 2016 with an expected 2017 release date. It follows on from 2014's New n' Tasty, which was a remake of the original 1997 title, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.

The teaser is only a brief seven seconds long, but going through it frame-by-frame reveals some gorgeous concept art (including a piece for the Soulstorm brewery) as well as the words "explore his origins".

EVE Online Players Pay Amazing Tribute to Stephen Hawking

Earlier this week, the family of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking confirmed that he had passed away at his Cambridge home, aged 76. EVE Online players are paying tribute by lighting beacons across the game's interstellar expanse.

Reddit user kairiola suggested that New Eden's pilots light up cynosural beacons as a form of memorial.

The beacons are used to open jump bridges for warp speed travel, emitting a brilliant light. The sight of one would usually have nearby players' hackles up, possibly denoting the imminent arrival of someone looking for a spot of ship-to-ship combat. But in this instance, they served as an awe-inspiring tribute to the loss of one of the world's greatest minds.

Ubisoft PR confirmed the news to GameSpot, saying that the microtransactions will be available in the game's single-player, co-op and head-to-head multiplayer modes.

Players can opt to speed up their progression with microtransactions, but Ubisoft has confirmed that they will not affect actual gameplay.

Further, Far Cry 5 Executive Producer Dan Hay confirmed that the game's single-player campaign will be fully playable offline.

An internet connection will still be necessary for the games multiplayer modes, including the feature-filled Arcade mode, which offers an absurdly detailed map editor.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Progression System Overhaul Revealed

DICE and EA have revealed the sweeping changes being made to Star Wars: Battlefront 2's controversial progression system in a new update, coming on Wednesday, March 21.

EA is hoping to put to rest "pay-to-win" concerns by making progression linear. Classes, heroes, and ships you use in multiplayer now individually earn experience points. Experience points help you level up, and each level awards a Skill Point, which can be spent on gameplay-changing Star Cards.

Star Cards and other gameplay-changing unlocks will not be purchaseable with either Credits (currency earned through gameplay) or the returning Crystals (paid currency). Star Cards will also no longer be found in Crates.
