Doom on Switch Adds Splatoon-Style Motion Controls

Doom on Switch has quietly added an unexpected new feature - Splatoon-style motion controls.

A number of users have noticed that the new 1.1.1 patch adds a "motion aiming" option to the game's controller settings menu. Sensitivity and inversion can subsequently be adjusted.

It works similarly to Splatoon 2, where the left analog stick controls lateral movement, but physically moving the Switch aims the crosshairs.

Fortnite's Season 3 Battle Pass has been detailed, and it includes 76 items over 30 tiers, including 'back bling' - or fancy backpacks to you and me.

Epic posted the Battle Pass breakdown in anticipation of Season 2 coming to an end this week. You can buy new emotes, outfits, gliders, banners, and other cosmetic items for the in-game currency of 150 V-Bucks each, or you can unlock them the old-fashioned way, through gameplay.

Even though there are 30 more tiers than Season 2's Battle Pass, it'll still take the same amount of time to complete, which Epic says is between 75-150 hours.

The Biggest, Baddest Super-Weapons in Gaming

The gaming world is filled with more evil super-weapons than an 80s spy movie. We’ve got more maniacs, evil geniuses, misguided scientists and evil super-beings than we know what to do with - and most of them want to destroy humanity in a hundred different ways.

The bad guys in video games have tried everything from enslaving all the fluffy animals in the Green Hill Zone, to turning humans into Stroggs and generally trying to blow everything sky-high.

So to celebrate all the heroes that have foiled dastardly plots, and all the evil beings who plotted them, we wanted to take a look at some of the biggest, baddest super-weapons that have threatened to put the bad guys on top.

PSVR Platformer Moss Release Date Announced

PlayStation VR platformer Moss is launching next week.

As detailed on PlayStation Blog, developer Polyarc's PSVR title will launch on February 27. Moss was officially announced during last year's Sony E3 press conference and has players guide an adorable little mouse named Quill through a magical adventure.

The game is played from a third-person perspective, and you'll be helping Quill fight enemies and traverse colorful environments. For more on Moss, be sure to check out our E3 preview of the game, which we think "feels like a well-thought-out, complete game that takes advantage of VR without using it as a gimmicky crutch."
