All the News and Trailers from Today’s Nintendo Direct
After a lot of leaks, rumors, and anticipation, Nintendo released a Nintendo Direct Mini this morning with a handful of new games headed to Switch.
Everything shown today is slated to arrive on Switch within the next few months, painting a good picture of what we can expect from the first half of 2018.
Here’s what Nintendo showed today, from release dates for things we already knew about to a few new surprises.
FromSoft’s long-running, extremely punishing action RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 25. In TV mode, it will run at 30 FPS in 1080p resolution.
Shadowman Seeks Redemption in Valiant’s Next Big Comic
For Valiant Comics, 2017 was the year of X-O Manowar. A new creative team re-launched the character’s solo series with an accessible story and planned out over two years worth of issues. Now that we’ve crossed over to 2018, it’s Shadowman’s turn.
Writer Andy Diggle (Green Arrow: Year One, The Losers) has similarly planned a multi-year story that starts off on a fresh point easy for readers to jump on board. Shadowman, real name Jack Boniface, is coming back from a self-imposed exile in the Deadside, a dark dimension where spirits dwell and time operates differently. He retreated there because he went too far using the voodoo magic from which he derives his power, but now the real world needs him once more.
