Westworld Casts Vikings’ Floki, More for Season 2

Westworld is adding some more faces for the sci-fi breakout's second season.

Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Gustaf Skarsgard - Vikings' Floki, and another member of the genre-friendly Skarsgard clan - will be joining the series as a regular, playing the part of Karl Strand, a "white-collar guy comfortable in the field".

He's joined by Fares Fares (Tyrant), who will be playing Antoine Costa - a "tech expert with an objective perspective". In addition, Betty Gabriel (Good Girls Revolt) will be joining in a recurring capacity, playing Maling, about whom not much is known other than that she's trying to "restore order on the ground".

American Crime Story: Versace Tells Its Story in Reverse

The next installment in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story saga, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, will, like its predecessor, focus on the murder at the heart of its real-world inspiration. But whereas The People v. O.J. Simpson followed what happened after the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, Versace will look at its titular death in reverse.

Speaking during the Television Critics Association press tour, showrunner Ryan Murphy confirmed that the second season of American Crime Story opens with Versace's murder.

American Horror Story: Cult Isn’t an ‘Attack on Trump’

When Ryan Murphy announced that American Horror Story's seventh season would be "about the election that we just went through

," many people assumed that meant the series would become markedly more political.

But it turns out that 2016 election backdrop is more of a jumping off point for the "Cult" throughline of the anthology's Season 7 than any actual parallel to the fallout of the presidential election.

"I think, because Ryan had made the initial announcement about Trump, people are expecting it to be political and everything else," explained executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall to IGN at the 2017 summer TV Critics' Association press tour. "It's not going to be this giant attack on Trump."

Deadpool Director Miller to Helm Neuromancer Movie

Fox's upcoming Neuromancer movie has found its director in Tim Miller.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller, who directed last year's R-rated comic book movie Deadpool, will helm the adaptation of William Gibson's 1984 sci-fi novel, with X-Men film franchise producer Simon Kinberg on board to produce.

No writer has yet been attached to the project. Gibson's novel tells the story of a computer hacker named Henry Dorsett Case, who is caught stealing from his employer and punished by having toxins damage his nervous system, rendering him unemployable. In the hopes of turning his fortunes around, he takes on a major hacking job from a shady ex-military officer who offers him a cure.

Arms Update Rebalances Roster, Adds Training Exercises

Nintendo has released a new update for Arms that brings with it a handful of changes and a few small additions.

As detailed on Nintendo's support site, update 2.1 features balance adjustments for Arms' roster of playable characters, as well as their weapons. For example, Master Mummy's dash speed and movement speed while jumping have been increased, and the Homie has been tweaked to cause more rush damage.

In addition to rebalancing the roster, the update adds five new exercises to "Training" and indicators designating the difficulty. Adjustments to the rush gauge and fighter hitbox sizes, as well as added instructions at the start of a 3-4 player battle are also featured in the update. The full list of changes, including how each fighter and weapons has been rebalanced can be found here.
