Dota 2’s Siltbreaker Campaign Updated With New Act
Act II of the Dota 2 Siltbreaker multiplayer campaign is now available to all Battle Pass owners, the Dota team revealed in an official announcement.
In addition to the new act, this update also includes a number of changes to the campaign to make it more accessible for players of all skill levels.
Act II of Siltbreaker, titled "A Vault in the Deep," picks up where the previous act left off, setting players on the path to Dark Reef Prison where they will attempt to defeat the powerful Siltbreaker. Just like with the previous act, players will be rewarded Battle Pass levels and items for their performance in the campaign, but this time around players can opt for the easier "Adventure Mode," which tones down the difficulty but removes all rewards.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Includes Kanto Tease
A new trailer for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has released as part of the Pokemon World Championships, featuring some new characters and locations. Some fans have noticed what they believe may be a hint that the game could take players back to the Kanto Region from Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow.
About 14 seconds into the new trailer, viewable below, a flashy character named Ryuki introducing himself to the trainer. Looking closely at the room surrounding him and the player in this scene, several factors, like the yellow color scheme and the trash cans scattered around the room, bear a strong resemblance to Lt. Surge's gym from Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

NVC: Sonic Mania on Switch Is a Blast
Welcooooooome to the latest episode of our weekly Nintendo talk show, Nintendo Voice Chat! Next week, NVC will report back live from Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Until then, enjoy a full hour of talk about the latest Nintendo news from our studio in San Francisco. Join Brian Altano, Jonathon Dornbush, Peer Schneider, and in her NVC debut, Lily Zaldivar, for impressions of Sonic Mania, Chicken Wiggle, the NES30 Arcade Stick, and the five things we want Nintendo to update or change in Splatoon 2 over the next year. Nintendo announced Splatoon 2's impressive sales performance after we recorded this episode, so maybe the game will thump its nose at all our suggestions -- but we still had fun chatting about one of our favorite Nintendo games so far this year. As always, you can watch NVC here on IGN and on our YouTube channel or listen to it on your commute in audio format. If you enjoy the show, say something nice and tell your friends! Positive reviews on iTunes ensure that more listeners find the show -- and comments and questions pertaining to our show (rather than random reactions to headlines) always make us happy! But we'll take those, too.

The maps will have different spawn locations, and the parts, cars, camps and cabins have all been moved.
GoT Spin-off Will be “Recognizable as a Past Event”
We don't know too much about the four Game of Thrones spin-off series currently in the works at HBO. We know they are confirmed to all be prequels, that no existing characters will be included, and that no potential spin-off will air until after the main series ends with Season 8. One of the spin-offs is being developed by GoT creator George R.R. Martin and Kick-Ass screenwriter Jane Goldman. I chatted on the phone today with Goldman about the series, asking if it will contain any supernatural elements or cover any events or other stories mentioned in the existing books or on the current show. Here's all that she had to say ...

Stephen King's It movie has just received a free 8-bit tie-in web game.
Called It: Enter the Sewer, the game is set in Pennywise's home, the sewers of Derry, Maine. Players control Georgie's paper hat boat to avoid a variety of obstacles, including Pennywise himself and missing children posters, while collecting red balloons to get a high score.
You can check out the game here.
It will be released in theaters on September 8. For more on the upcoming horror film, which is tracking to have the biggest Stephen King movie opening ever, read how the remake compares to the original TV miniseries.
Opinion: Stop Focusing On Player Counts So Much
As soon as LawBreakers released last Tuesday, there were people in comment sections and forums around the internet declaring it a “dead game.” According to them, it was already doomed - a game no one was playing that people rushed to put nostradamus-like expiration dates on.
The problem is that most of these people have likely never played the game, but thanks to sites like SteamCharts and the less reliable SteamSpy commenters everywhere can feel empowered to make wide generalizations about the health of any game based on “hard facts.”
