Horizon Zero Dawn Easy Story Mode Out Now
Horizon Zero Dawnls latest patch, among other fixes, introduces a new easier difficultly called Story Mode.
Horizon Zero Dawn's Story Mode, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog, allows players to avoid worrying about combat by boosting player damage and reducing the amount of damage the player takes from enemies. The patch is intended to allow those who want to explore Aloy's world and experience her adventure to do so undeterred by any difficult battles.
Patch 1.32 also makes a slew of bug and progression fixes that can be found in more detail in the full patch notes.
Dragon Quest XI Import: A Truly Living, Breathing (and Stunning) World
A wide variety of vast lands are waiting for you to explore in Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Gallop on your horse, set sail, or even mount some of Dragon Quest’s iconic monsters. Towns and villages are crowded with quirky characters to talk to, and dungeons and caves are packed with hidden items and treasure chests. There is just so much to do in Rotozetashia. But make no mistake. This is by no means an open world game. The vision behind Rotozetashia is true to the world making of traditional Japanese RPGs, but it expands on that in creative ways.
Open world games give the player as much freedom as possible, but that doesn’t necessarily work as well for a heavily story driven game like Dragon Quest XI. While there are almost always decisions to make, in the end Dragon Quest XI is a linear experience, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. As a matter of fact, it is the linearity that makes the sublime level design in this game possible.

The Flash: Katee Sackhoff Cast as DC Villain
The Arrowverse just got a little bit more dangerous, with the announcement that Katee Sackhoff is joining the cast of The Flash in a recurring capacity as DC villain Blacksmith.
As EW reports, she will make her debut in the fifth episode of The Flash's upcoming fourth season, titled "Girls Night Out," which will also feature a guest appearance from Arrow's Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).
Katee Sackhoff in Battlestar Galactica
The comic book version of Blacksmith, whose real name is Amunet Black, is one of the Flash's Rogues from the pre-Flashpoint days, and has the power to fuse organic and inorganic material — most commonly using this power to bond metal to flesh.

Shatner: Roddenberry ‘Had Little to Do with Star Trek’ After 13 Episodes
It's well known that Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, after a long fight to bring the adventures of Captain Kirk, Spock and the rest to the air, eventually stepped back from the day-to-day running of the original three-season classic series. Many books and articles have been written, interviews given, and theories thrown around regarding how important Roddenberry was to The Original Series beyond the first season, with the general consensus being that he had essentially faded from the picture by the final (weakest) year.
But according to the show's star, William Shatner, Roddenberry wasn't involved much at all after the first half of Season 1. While talking to IGN recently, Shatner said that Roddenberry "had little to do with Star Trek after the first 13 shows."
Former Just Cause Devs Announce New Action RPG BioMutant
A wholly new, original action RPG from THQ Nordic and indie dev Experiment 101 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One next year.
The game, called BioMutant, lets you take advantage of "mutations, bionic prosthetics, and weapons" to customize your characters to your liking.
The choices players make in augmenting their characters "impact the way your hero plays in real-time combat." Combat is described as a cross between martial-arts and small-arms skirmishes.
BioMutant is set in an "imaginative post-apocalyptic universe" that can be explored via "mechs, paragliders, balloons, mounts, jet skis and more," according to THQ Nordic.
Last week, THQ Nordic announced it's bringing the gothic-horror game Black Mirror, set in 1926 Scotland.
Uncharted Movie: “Indiana Jones for a New Generation”
Shawn Levy has some serious ambitions for the upcoming big-screen version of the fan-favourite Uncharted series.
Nerdist recently interviewed Levy about Stranger Things - on which he serves as executive producer and occasional director - but took the opportunity to talk a little bit about the Uncharted movie, which still has no release date but recently signed Tom Holland to star as series protagonist Nathan Drake.
Levy made it clear that he isn't interested in simply doing a straight-up adaptation of the games - citing his experience of "bad" or simply "decent but unsuccessful" video game adaptations - and says that he and Tom Holland are both approaching the film from the same angle.

Along with the announcement, Koei Tecmo have also unveiled a new teaser site for the game, with a short trailer featuring iconic moments from the manga and anime in the series' signature art style:

Metroid: Samus Returns: More 2D Metroid Games Possible
The original Metroid co-creator and now Metroid: Samus Returns producer, Yoshio Sakamoto has talked about his interest in creating more 2D titles for the series.
In the most recent issue of Game Informer, Sakamoto talks about developing the original Metroid and how he "... wasn't sure if players would enjoy the game" despite believing that it could be a "special franchise".
He explains that, "through the development of Metroid 1, I really grasped the possibilities and potential of a video game".
Sakamoto repeats this sentiment when talking about the upcoming 3DS title Metroid: Samus Returns, and explains that he would like to make more 2D Metroid titles - but fan interest will play a key role:
