Michelle Pfeiffer Joins Cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp

Michelle Pfeiffer will join Ant-Man and the Wasp as Janet van Dyne, Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, and Walton Goggins as Sonny Birch, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Michael Pena (Luis) announced at Marvel's San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Janet van Dyne was previously played by Hayley Lovitt in the first Ant-Man. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said Pfeiffer was their "dream choice" for the role at the panel. Goggin's involvement with the film was revealed earlier this month without details of his role.

Sonny Burch was chairman of a weapons design company, who was once linked to Obadiah Stane, the villain from the original Iron Man. In the comics, when Tony Stark revealed that he was Iron Man, it meant that the US Government had rights to the Iron Man armor. Burch claimed a lot of Stark’s technology and began selling it to the US government. He was more concerned with profit than safety.

As can be seen from the screenshots, Stranger Things: Season 2 — which aims to be "weirder and darker" than the last — picks up quickly from where things were left off. There are several new characters, however, like a "kind-hearted former nerd" played by Samwise Gamgee himself, Sean Astin.

Brainiac, Doomsday, Hawkwoman, Adam Strange to Appear on Krypton TV Series

Today at the Comic-Con panel for Krypton — coming to Syfy in 2018 — DC TV head Geoff Johns revealed that, although Krypton is a prequel series, DC heroes Adam Strange and Hawkwoman, and DC villains Brainiac and Doomsday, will be a part of the show.

So how will that work? Well, Johns explained that while Krypton takes place in the past and centers around Superman’s grandfather, Seyg-El (Cameron Cuffe), “it’s about a conspiracy from the present that’s traveled back in time to Krypton to prevent the birth of Superman.” That’s where we get Adam Strange and Hawkwoman battling to stop the evil plan and save the present.

Johns then went on to drop the name Doomsday as another character who will arrive on the show, along with Brainiac. Executive producer Cameron Welsh added “What we love about Brainiac is that not only is he an incredible foil for anyone he faces, but also he has a really deep history dating back to his family on Colu. He is the nexus point between man and machine, which is a very relevant thing to be talking about now. He’s a very real character.”
