Agents of Mayhem Features Johnny Gat as Pre-order Bonus
Saints Row character Johnny Gat will be available as a pre-order bonus for Agents of Mayhem.
Those who pre-order the game at GameStop, or through Steam on PC, will get Johnny Gat as the 13th Agent of Mayhem.
In addition to featuring an exclusive unlock mission, the character—voiced by Daniel Dae Kim—will include a personal mission, as well as different weapon, character and vehicle skins.
Johnny returns after the climactic events of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (read IGN's review) and is back in Seoul, the place of his birth. After being in a coma for nearly a year following the events of Devil's Night, the once Lieutenant in Seoul's police department awakens to find the agency has been replaced with C.O.P (Civilian Overwatch Patrol) robot units.
Persona 5 Director Discusses Atlus’ Next Big RPG
This month's IGN First is a bit different than usual. Rather than highlighting a single game -- we'll get back to that next month -- we're highlighting the Japanese game industry as a whole. We visited some of the biggest studios in Japan to focus on their games and creative processes. Check back all month for interviews, gameplay reveals, and more!
Katsura Hashino is in a period of transition. After over a decade with the Persona series as director of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 (plus a break in 2011 to direct the marvelous Catherine), Hashino announced late last year that he’s joined a newly-established internal studio within Atlus called Studio Zero.

Xbox Scorpio: Extra Gigabyte of RAM Unlocked for Developers
Microsoft's Mike Ybarra has announced that the latest tuning to the Xbox Project Scorpio console upgrade has unlocked an extra gigabyte of RAM for developers - just days before it's due to be revealed at E3.
Scorpio has 12GB of GDDR5 RAM - that extra gigabyte means the console now offers up to three quarters of that specifically to developers and their games, with 3GB reserved for the system.
We’ll keep tuning Scorpio to empower creators to share the best versions of their games. Unlocked extra GB of RAM for them, now 9GB of GDDR5

Sonic Mania Is Sonic’s Back to the Future Moment
Sonic Mania is smart, I’ll give it that. Rather than just being a new Sonic game designed as if it was still the Genesis era, as some other long-running franchises have done, Sega has instead taken old Sonic levels and seamlessly mixed them with new content. This approach, at least in the couple of stages I played, fueled my fun without relying solely on nostalgia.
Yes, I had fun. Lots of it! Sixteen-bit Sonic, in my humble opinion, holds up remarkably well for being 25 years old. Stages can begin familiar (hello, Green Hill Zone!) and then blend effortlessly into new territory, with speed, pinball bounces, and ring-collecting remaining at the forefront of the gameplay. Better, you can choose to play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles – the most beloved of the motley crew the Big Blue Blur has assembled over the years. The $20 price point seems right on target as well.
