8 Epic Final Fantasy Cosplays From ONE Cosplayer

With Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood coming out this week, we decided to look into some of the coolest Final Fantasy cosplays around.

Turns out, eight of the most incredible cosplays from the franchise are all from the same one cosplayer - Moderately Okay Cosplay. Click right to see them all:

Interplay Founder on Creating Mario Teaches Typing

Back when inXile Entertainment founder Brian Fargo was still head of Interplay, he created Mario Teaches Typing for Nintendo, and has since shared with IGN what it was like working on the project.

On the latest episode of our monthly interview show IGN Unfiltered, Fargo discussed how the idea for the game came about. "At the time, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing was the big hit," he said, noting he knew its creator Les Crane, who, in addition to being a radio announcer and television talk show host, was the chairman of The Software Toolworks.

Cars 3 Almost Included Multiple Talking Batmobiles

Cars 3 nearly featured multiple talking Batmobiles.

In an interview with Screen Junkies, Cars 3 director Brian Fee revealed that the film originally had a scene in which Lightning McQueen ended up at a party in Los Angeles. As you'd expect, the party would've been filled with film stars - except in the Cars world that means, well, famous cars.

"At one point, part of the story took place in LA and we had a scene where McQueen went to a Hollywood Hills party and it was full of actors. So we had the old Batmobile and the new Batmobile talking to each other at a party," laughed Fee. "They're the actors of the world."

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm Finally Coming to Blu-ray

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is officially coming to Blu-ray next month.

Warner Bros. announced on Facebook that the beloved 1993 animated Batman film will finally be getting a 1080p HD remaster for the first time in July.

The Blu-ray release will include both the original theatrical 16x9 aspect ratio and the open matte 4x3 aspect ratio. No word yet on pricing and the only special feature listed is the film's original theatrical trailer.

Godzilla 2 Begins Filming, Synopsis Reveals Other Monsters

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will feature multiple monsters, and has commenced filming.

The sequel to 2014's Godzilla has recently began rolling in Atlanta, Georgia, aiming for a March 22, 2019 release. According to the film's official synopsis, Godzilla will be going up against Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. While these monsters face off, the crypto-zoological agency Monarch has to find a way to put an end to the anarchy.

The film's cast includes Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, Zhang Ziyi, as well as Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins, who are reprising their roles from the 2014 reboot. Michael Doughetry (Krampus) will be directing from a script he co-wrote with Krampus writing partner Zach Shields.

Detroit: Become Human Will Launch Next Year

Quantic Dream's upcoming PS4 exclusive Detroit: Become Human will be released sometime next year.

Game director David Cage confirmed the release window in an interview with GameSpot at E3, saying, "it's going to be next year."

Detroit: Become Human was shown at E3 last week, and we got a chance to see a demo that centered around Markus, the recently-revealed third protagonist of the game, who's played by Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams. For our thoughts on the android-focused adventure, check out IGN's Detroit: Become Human preview.

Rocket League Dev on Cross-Network Play’s Importance

With the announcement of Rocket League coming to the Nintendo Switch, Psyonix has opened up more possibilities of cross-network play, a feature that, according to the company’s Vice President Jeremy Dunham, is key to the longevity of games across generations.

Speaking with IGN during an E3 2017 interview, Dunham discussed the developer’s focus on cross-platform play, which now allows Rocket League players to compete against others across Xbox One, PC, and Switch. PS4 players can currently play against PC players but not Xbox One, nor at this time Switch players when the game releases this holiday.

Diablo 3 Rise of the Necromancer Release Date Revealed

The Rise of the Necromancer expansion for Diablo III is coming digitally to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 27 for $15.

The expansion brings with it the return of the Necromancer class, last seen in Diablo II. The return of Necromancers to Diablo, who "draw upon the power of blood and bone to protect humanity," was first rumored last November when concept art leaked online.

Rise of the Necromancer includes a Golem in-game pet, Cosmetic Wings of the Crypt Guardian, 2 more character slots, 2 stash tabs for PC gamers, and "Necromancer portrait, banner, sigil, and accent, and Blood Master pennant."
