NBC Un-Cancels Timeless

While a cancelled TV show can sometimes be saved by another outlet picking it up, it's still a rarity - and even rarer is when a show is "uncancelled" by the very same network that just ended it. Yet that's what just happened for Timeless, which NBC has decided will return to the network after all for Season 2, just three days after they'd pulled the plug on the time travel series.

Timeless creators Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and Erik Kripke (Supernatural) both tweeted the news this morning, revealing the series will return for a ten-episode run Summer 2018.

Let’s Talk About the Ending of Master of None: Season 2

This is spot where I'll dig into Master of None: Season 2 a little bit more, getting spoilery with some of the plot points and discussing the ending. So if you haven't started, or finished, Season 2, head over here to my non-spoilery Master of None: Season 2 review.

Without straying too far into dreaded and entitled "friend zone" territory, the love story between Dev and Francesca, that beautifully culminates in the hour-long penultimate episode "Amarsi Un Po," and the finale "Buona Notte," is a breathtaking piece of patience and detail.

Dev feeling used and exhausted, but also invigorated and addicted, is spot-on work as he's unable to fully grasp how hard it is for Francesca to completely change absolutely everything in her life to be with him. The two have to decide if what they feel for one another is worth a total course correction in life or if it's somehow more romantic to let it just remain in the background, becoming the sorrowful one great regret of their lives.

2 Broke Girls Cancelled by CBS

After six seasons, CBS has cancelled the comedy series 2 Broke Girls.

Deadline reports that CBS and Warner Bros. TV, who produced 2 Broke Girls, couldn't come to an agreement over the financials of the aging series. With negotiations down to the wire, there was talk of potentially shortening Season 7 down to 13-18 episodes, but ultimately a deal couldn't be made.

Though 2 Broke Girls started off notably strong in its first 2011-2012 season, its viewership did decline, but it was still a decent performer for CBS - and the network's youngest-skewing comedy.

9 Things We Want In The Hellboy Reboot

There will never be a Hellboy 3 with director Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman, but Hellboy’s cinematic adventures are far from over. Earlier this week, it was revealed that character creator Mike Mignola and director Neil Marshall are planning an R-rated Hellboy reboot film with Stranger Things' David Harbour taking over the role of the title character.

As much as we loved del Toro’s vision and Perlman’s take on Hellboy, the first two movies left behind a lot of untapped potential. Mignola’s Hellboy universe is filled with fascinating characters and storylines that were barely even alluded to in the original movies. By starting over, there’s a real possibility that fans may finally get a chance to see more of Mignola’s creations on the big screen.

Opinion: The Guardians of the Galaxy Need to Get Bigger

Now that characters like Thanos and Rocket Raccoon have become household names, Marvel's cosmic-focused comics are more important than ever. The company clearly recognizes that fact. They've placed a lot of muscle behind the Guardians of the Galaxy comics in recent years, ensuring that the team always has at least one ongoing series to its name and plenty of spinoffs and solo series. Just this month alone we're seeing the debut of the twice-monthly All-New Guardians of the Galaxy, the mini-series Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy, new solo comics for both Rocket Raccoon and Groot and even a comic book adaptation of the new "Mission: Breakout!" ride at Disney World.

At this point, I don't think anyone could argue that Marvel isn't giving this team the attention or creative muscle they deserve. But there is one glaring flaw with Marvel's handling of the franchise lately. No matter where you look - be it comics, movies, animation or video games - Guardians of the Galaxy stories almost always revolve around the same five characters. And as a result, the franchise is beginning to feel a little stale.
