Everyone’s Least Favorite Version of Windows Reaches Its End
After a long and courageous battle with relevance, support for Windows Vista officially ends April 11, 2017.
The follow-up to Microsoft's beloved Windows XP operating system, Vista sadly failed to live up to its marketing hype. Perhaps most famous for introducing alerts whenever users attempted to make changes, the operating system was best known for constantly interrupting work rhythm with needless alerts.
On top of being intrusive, it also gobbled precious computing resources like CPU and RAM. Generally speaking, people hated it, preferring to stick with Windows XP. In fact, the enormous popularity of Windows XP gave it a life spanning from 2001 all the way to April 2014.
Fable Creator on ‘Big Mistake’ He Made With the Series
Peter Molyneux recently discussed his regrets regarding the Fable series, citing the large time jumps between each game as the "big mistake" he made with Microsoft's fantasy role-playing franchise. "I think we moved through time
too quickly," he said on the latest episode of our monthly interview show IGN Unfiltered. He noted how the original Fable and Fable II were 500 years apart, and, in retrospect, he thinks it should have been a 50-year time jump instead.
"It meant that the world jumped," he continued. "The same with Fable II to Fable III. Again, the world jumped into more of a kind of inspired by Victorian times. I loved the fact that Bowerstone had grown into more of an industrial thing, but we moved too far forward and that meant that we ran out of time. You know, where do we go next? Fable in space? That didn't really fit."

Nintendo Direct for Upcoming Switch Games Coming This Week
Nintendo will be showing off Arms and Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch during a Nintendo Direct presentation this week.
A press release says that while the two first-party Switch games will be the focus, the broadcast will feature "information about Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games".
The Direct will take place on Wednesday, April 12 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm BST (or 8am AEST on April 13), and you can watch by tuning in on the official website.
Information on Splatoon 2 has been slowly trickling out, and a public "Testfire" demo period took place late last month. The full game is due for release later this year.
Thor: Ragnarok Poster Released
The first poster for Thor: Ragnarok has popped up, and it's as colourful as we could have hoped for.
Released alongside the film's first trailer, director Taika Waititi tweeted out a poster featuring Chris Hemsworth's new look, plus a little dig at the colour palettes of his rival blockbusters:
Check out this photo of a bumpy arm surrounded by colours!

Superman Blames Batman for Everything in Injustice 2 Prequel Comic Book Series
Writer Tom Taylor is back for the Injustice 2 comic book series, which tells the story in between the first game and leads into the sequel. The comic is a digital-first series that releases weekly chapters online every Tuesday (starting April 11) and will be released in print each month (starting on May 1 for the first issue).
The story of the first game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, showed an alternate world ruled by a tyrant Superman driven to the dark side by the grief of losing his wife Lois and their unborn child, all thanks to an attack by the Joker. The comic explored the five years between when this tragic incident happened and when Superman took rule over the world. It showed how Batman tried to stop him, with each side enlisting the help of various heroes and villains, and the many twists, turns, and deaths along the way.
Minecraft Marketplace Coming With 1.1 Discovery Update
Minecraft Marketplace, a new program that allows players to access and play community-created content, is coming to Minecraft on Windows 10 PC and mobile this spring.
According to Microsoft's announcement, Minecraft Marketplace will be available with the 1.1 Discovery Update. With this new marketplace, players will be able to "browse, download and play cool community creations from within the game itself."
Minecraft Marketplace will launch with a library of content, including texture packs and adventure maps, created by community members like BlockWorks and Noxcrew. The Minecraft Team is initially working with a selection of existing partners, but in the future will begin taking submissions from anyone with a registered business.
