Oxenfree Now Available on iOS
Night School Studios' supernatural coming-of-age tale Oxenfree is available now in the Apple App Store.
Oxenfree was our runner-up for Best Adventure Game of 2016, coming in behind Firewatch. The game came to consoles in January 2016 as a digital download and later was made available as a physical version through Limited Run Games.
The port to iOS isn't a mere copy-paste, with Night School Studios adding what it calls "custom touch controls" for the iPad and iPhone release.
13 Famous Movies That Reused Old Footage
Movie fans were in for a strange bit of news this week when it became apparent that a trailer for the upcoming film Life reused a piece of footage from 2007's Spider-Man 3. But as it turns out, this practice is more common than you might expect. Plenty of films have borrowed or reused footage from older projects, whether to save time and money or to plug a few holes.
Don't believe us? Check out our gallery of 13 major films that reused old footage.
Eagle-eyed Reddit user toomuchsoull first established the shared connection between Life and Spider-Man 3. "I used to watch Spider-man 3 a lot as a kid before I realized how terrible it is. Also I have a pretty good memory for small details like that," he wrote on the Reddit thread discussing his discovery.
Every Official Photo From Thor: Ragnarok So Far
IGN has compiled every official photo released from Marvel's upcoming third Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok.
The photos include Jeff Goldblum as the eccentric Grandmaster, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Cate Blanchett as the villainous Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor with his new, shorter haircut. There are a few behind-the-scenes photos as well, which show director Taika Waititi at work with his cast and crew. Check out the image gallery below.
The plot for the film was recently revealed, and it all but confirms that Ragnarok will indeed include some elements from the popular Planet Hulk comic book storyline. Hulk is also described as having swagger and is almost "like a God" in Ragnarok, as the film will showcase a different side of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk.

Help NASA Decide What Pictures to Take of Jupiter
The Juno space probe is gearing up for another pass of our solar system's largest planet, and NASA wants your help deciding what pictures it should snap on the way by.
You can cast your vote on the official JunoCam voting website. Choose from one of several points of interest in the orbit, helping narrow down mission photographs to the ones people most want to see.
As much as NASA would love to snap continuously, it says "the amount of on-board data storage" limits how many photos can be taken.
According to space.com, the JunoCam instrument has already captured fantastic images of the swirling gas giant, with the photos available on NASA's Juno mission website.

The Best 1080p 144Hz Gaming Monitors
Monitors with 144Hz refresh rates aren't new, but they're more popular than ever because, quite frankly, they are pretty awesome. Plus we're just now getting midrange GPUs capable of 100+ FPS on high settings. Back in the ancient days of 2015 that just wasn't possible unless you dropped some major coin, so as performance has increased monitor manufacturers have responded with corresponding features such as ultra-high refresh rates. So if you're in the market for a new display, be sure to check out our list of the best 1080p 144Hz Gaming Monitors.
Instead of updating a screen a measly 60 times a second like most monitors (60Hz), a 144Hz monitor refreshes the screen 144 times every second, which makes action appear smoother and helps eliminate motion blur. If you have enough ponies under the hood, or the stomach to, sniff, lower your game's settings if you're not on a newer GPU, a 144Hz monitor will permanently change your perception of what smooth gameplay looks and feels like, and you'll never be able to go back to 60Hz.
Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner Steps Down
Kevin Bruner is stepping down from his role as chief executive officer of Telltale Games.
Kotaku originally broke the story, citing a company-wide email sent out by Bruner. A statement from head of creative communications Job Stauffer to IGN confirmed the report:
"Kevin has led Telltale over the past couple of years after he stepped into the CEO role for co-founder Dan Connors in 2015. With Kevin departing, Telltale is fortunate to have Dan here to step back seamlessly into the CEO role."
"Dan" refers to Telltale co-founder Dan Connors, who is acting as CEO following Bruner's resignation.
