Scalebound Reportedly In Trouble, Could Be Canceled

Scalebound is reportedly in trouble and may be canceled.

Kotaku has heard from "several sources" that the action title from developer PlatinumGames has been in development trouble for quite a while and may ultimately be scrapped. The outlet also noticed that Microsoft has pulled the official page for Scalebound from the Xbox website.

An official announcement regarding the game's status is expected to be made in the near future, as Microsoft provided Kotaku with the following statement: "We'll have more to share on Scalebound soon."

Scalebound was announced at E3 2014 as an Xbox One exclusive. During Microsoft's press conference at last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, it was revealed that Scalebound would also release on PC as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative.

How Agents of SHIELD’s L.M.D.s Will Differ from Ultron

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns from winter break Tuesday with a new episode called “Broken Promises” and kicks off the next big arc subtitled “L.M.D.” With the Ghost Rider arc completed (or at least brought to somewhat of a conclusion for now), Aida will step up as the new main threat of the show.

Warning: this article contains full spoilers for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD!

To recap, the last episode ended with the revelation that May has been replaced with an L.M.D. The real May is imprisoned in Radcliffe’s lab. When a SHIELD agent discovered her there while on an errand, Aida snapped his neck in order to keep the May switcheroo a secret. Meanwhile, L.M.D. May was seen in SHIELD HQ having a drink with Coulson, an unusually warm act for the notoriously cold May.

Mass Effect: Andromeda Won’t Have a Season Pass

Mass Effect: Andromeda will buck the AAA trend by not including a DLC season pass.

Bioware general manager and confirmed enjoyer of the letter Y in his name, Aaryn Flynn was was asked whether the new game would adopt the sometimes controversial DLC pre-order model on Twitter. His response was to-the-point:

It's not a huge surprise - the Mass Effect series has never previously used season passes. It's not clear if this means future DLC will be free, paid for individually or use a different model.

There Was Going to Be a Halo Mega Bloks Game

Back in 2013, now-defunct video game developer N-Space was working on a Mega Bloks game set in the Halo universe.

According to a recent video from PtoPOnline (thanks Polygon), the game, codenamed "Haggar" would've been a third-person action game for the Xbox 360 along the same lines as the popular LEGO games.

Footage from a leaked build of "Haggar" shows lengthy levels in which you're fighting enemies using familiar weapons, building structures, driving in vehicle sections, and solving simple platforming puzzles. A co-op mode was also in development, along with "Besiege Mode," where players would build up their base to defend it from waves on enemies.
