Everything You Need to Know About Watch Dogs 2

Watch Dogs 2 is nearly upon us. While Ubisoft’s original Chicago-based open-world game was revealed long before its eventual May 2014 release, the studio smartly waited until just before this year’s E3 to reveal the sequel. Set in San Francisco, we’ve really dug everything we’ve seen so far of the game.

Here’s everything you need to know about Watch Dogs 2 leading up to its November 15 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

After a few weeks of rumors revolving around a possible new location and new protagonist, Ubisoft revealed Watch Dogs 2 on June 8, 2016. The series of trailers and features showcased Marcus Holloway, the new setting of San Francisco, and the new lighter tone of the sequel.

Ubisoft May Make a Netflix Series, According to CEO

Ubisoft is in talks to make a new series with Netflix, CEO Yves Guillemot announced on Monday.

Although nothing else in known about what the show could be, the series is in an effort to keep Ubisoft independent in the midst of pressure from shareholder Vivendi, according to a Reuters report.

Vivendi began purchasing shares in Ubisoft late last year and continued to do so after acquiring Gameloft in June. The French mass media company ruled out making a Ubisoft hostile takeover bid in October, but currently holds more than 20 percent of shares, according to Reuters. Guillemot has called the potential of a Vivendi takeover a "disaster".

Rockstar Reveals New GTA Online Mode and Tron-Style Bike

Rockstar has revealed and released Deadline, a new Adversary mode for GTA Online, as well as the Nagasaki Shotaro, the somewhat familiar bike used to play the mode.

The Shotaro bears more than a passing resemblance to Tron's light cycles, right down to leaving behind a deadly neon trail in Deadline mode. It's unlocked for purchase by playing Deadline for the first time (as well as the accompanying Deadline Outfit). For a limited time, buying the Shotaro will also net you an in-game Nagasaki logo T-shirt, too.

Deadline is a 4-player arena deathmatch, featuring each participant on a different coloured Shotaro, each attempting to lure the rest into their light trail for an instant kill, with three power-ups helping and/or hindering you as you go about your cyberspace-y business. Until November 21, Deadline players will receive double the money and RP for taking part.

When Is Doctor Strange Set?

Now that Doctor Strange is out in theaters worldwide, it’s become clear that many fans are a bit confused about when exactly the film takes place in the MCU timeline. Indeed, IGN’s editors have had a few e-mail threads going on this very subject as well as the movie offers several seemingly conflicting clues about its time period. Let’s try to clear it all up right here.

Spoilers follow for Doctor Strange.

Much of the confusion comes from the following:

  • Back in 2014’s Captain America: Winter Soldier, Agent Sitwell specifically mentioned “Stephen Strange” as a potential target of HYDRA’s Project Insight. Strange was among the thousands of people identified who were considered a threat to the criminal organization, or could be a threat in the future. These potential future risks were determined via an algorithm developed by Arnim Zola that “evaluated people’s past to predict their future.” Seems Zola nailed it in Strange’s case.

Yes, Resident Evil 7 Will Have Supernatural Monsters Too

We've been told that Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is aiming to be classic Resi, but one crucial element's been missing up until now - monsters.

Until today, we'd only seen antagonists in the form of the human (if distinctly Chainsaw Massacre-y) Baker family. That's been rectified in one of the last in a series of mini-trailers being released to show off features from the upcoming game. The "Shadow" trailer shows us something going more than bump in the night:

There's clearly a reason for that trailer being called "Shadow" - it's a little dark in there, but we can do something about that. Enhance. Enhance. Enhance:

An American Werewolf in London remake is on its way produced by The Walking Dead‘s David Albert and Robert Kirkman, based off a script by Max Landis.
