Infinite Warfare’s Second Beta Open to All PS4 Players
This upcoming weekend's second Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta will be open to all PlayStation 4 owners, not just those who've pre-ordered the game.
According to Activision, the beta will be available to download on the PlayStation Store later today, before it begins October 21 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. GMT. The beta will conclude at the same times on October 24.
The blog post, however, makes no mention of the pre-order restriction being lifted from the Xbox One beta, meaning those playing on Microsoft's platform will still have to pre-purchase Infinite Warfare in order to participate.

J.J. Abrams on Kylo Ren’s Thinking During Pivotal Star Wars: The Force Awakens Scene
The 3D Collector's Edition Blu-ray of Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases next month and brings with it new commentary from director J.J. Abrams, including an explanation behind what Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) was thinking during one of the film's most shocking scenes.
Warning: Major Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers ahead.
According to a section taken from the new bonus commentary, courtesy of USA Today (via CinemaBlend), it wasn't Kylo Ren's original plan to kill Han Solo (Harrison Ford) when he finally came face-to-face with his father. In fact, Abrams said that when the two were reunited on Starkiller Base, Solo was successfully convincing his son to turn from his evil ways, before Kylo came to the conclusion that it was too late for him to turn back, and so he killed his dad.

Batman: Arkham VR Easter Egg Hidden in Arkham Knight
Rocksteady has made a habit out of teasing upcoming Batman: Arkham titles in earlier entries in the series, and some players have discovered that the developer did indeed tease its recently released Batman: Arkham VR via an Easter egg in Batman: Arkham Knight DLC.
As spotted by Reddit users and outlined in detail by Kotaku, Rocksteady released the "Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6" in January, which took players back to Wayne Manor, with one notable change. There, players could interact with the piano, which reveals a hidden wall covered in notes, such as "Find the witness," "Shrapnel," and "He knew his killer?"
Supergirl Preview: Some Big New Characters Debut
Next Monday's episode of Supergirl, "Welcome to Earth," brings superhero vet Lynda Carter -- TV's O.G. Wonder Woman -- into the mix as Madam President Olivia Marsdin.
With President Marsdin in town visiting National City, it's up to Supergirl to protect her after an attack is made on her life and tensions grow between aliens and humans. You can see a bunch of pictures of Carter below in the gallery for "Welcome to Earth, as well as Floriana Lima's debut as DC's Detective Maggie Sawyer.
The official synopsis for "Welcome to Earth" reads:
An attack is made on the President as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault.
Classic PC Franchise Star Control Returns
Developer Stardock revealed Star Control: Origins, its latest game, and the first entry in the Star Control franchise since it acquired the rights from Atari.
Described by Stardock as a "sci-fi action/adventure game" with RPG elements, Star Control: Origins puts players in control of "Earth’s first interstellar starship."
Players navigate the ship through a "procedurally created galaxy," contacting alien races, exploring planets, and fighting "action packed battles."
The exploration and battle sequences take place over the backdrop of a "complex intrigue that has the galaxy on the brink of chaos."
Executive producer Brad Wardell said his team hopes fans of the original "will like the direction we’re taking," while simultaneously "introducing a whole new generation" to the Star Control franchise. In 2015, Stardock invited fans to help determine the future of Star Control as a franchise.
Everything You Need to Know About Titanfall 2
Titanfall was one of the Xbox One's early successes, launching to solid reviews and player enthusiasm. The parkour-and-mechs twist on the competitive multiplayer shooter worked great, and a sequel seemed like a forgone conclusion.
It's been quite some time since the first rumblings of Titanfall 2 began to surface, and Respawn Entertainment's follow-up is almost upon us. From the early rumors of a multi-platform release, to the confirmation of a single-player campaign, all the way up to the special Buffalo Wild Wings promotion (yup), here's everything you need to know about Titanfall 2.
Less than a week after the original game released, rumors of a Titanfall 2 publishing partner began churning. The EA rumors would later be confirmed. Since EA published the first Titanfall, it made sense for it to link up with Respawn to publish the sequel.
