Destiny Leak Reveals Halloween Event

It was always fairly certain that Destiny's popular Hallowe'en event, Festival of the Lost, would return - now, thanks to a leak, we know it is, and what loot it'll be bringing along for a limited time only.

After a little Bungie tease earlier this week, The Ishtar Collective spotted and categorised 38 new items coming with the upcoming event, alongside 21 updated items from last year's Festival.

They include eight new masks (including Raid boss Aksis and a Ghost), 11 new Quests (the means of getting those masks), appearance-changing weapon mods for the Bad Juju exotic pulse rifle, and two new Emotes, "Howl" and "Terrify".

Star Wars: Where Are the Jedi in Rogue One?

When it hits theaters this December, Rogue One will have the distinction of being the first Star Wars movie to explore the period in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. If you haven't been following the TV series Star Wars: Rebels or books like Star Wars: A New Dawn and Star Wars: Tarkin, you may not know much about this pivotal piece of the Star Wars timeline.

To help get you primed for the new movie, we're breaking down everything you need to know about the setting of Rogue One and how Emperor Palpatine rewrote history to make the galaxy forget all about the Jedi.

Rogue One takes place shortly before the events of A New Hope. At that point, Palpatine's Empire has existed for about 19 years. That might not seem like a lot of time in which to establish an iron-clad grip over thousands of star systems, but if we learned anything about Palpatine in the Prequel Trilogy, it's that he's very good at planning ahead. Though he allows the Galactic Senate to maintain its existence, they're little more than a token body of powerless senators. The combination of Palpatine's military might and his immense popular support in the aftermath of the Clone Wars means that he effectively has unilateral control over every world in his Empire. After 19 years, he's consolidated his grip over many core worlds, with remote Outer Rim planets like Tatooine mostly forgotten and ignored.

Bug Prevents World-First Destiny Raid Win

One of Destiny’s most successful clans, Redeem, has been deprived of a world-first record following an in-game issue.

The clan was competing in Rise of Iron’s new Hard Mode Raid when, at around the 24:04 mark in the video below, in the Death Zamboni encounter, the team met a bitter end.

As Eurogamer reports, one player ran ahead and inadvertently crossed an invisible barrier. This then caused the game to think the team were cheating, which resulted in a clan-wide wipe. Redeem respawned, but were sent back to replay the previous encounter they’d already completed, adding about six minutes onto their run. This extra time, despite not seeming like much, meant chances of completing the raid first were out the window.

Supergirl’s Role in the Mega-DC CW Crossover Explained

Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow will all be joining forces in December for a big mega-crossover, but just how will it all work, given one of the series doesn’t take place in the same universe as the others? Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim explained a bit more about how Supergirl becomes involved from her corner of the multiverse and also why it’s really a three-series crossover, even though it features characters from all four shows.

Asked how Supergirl will be a part of the series, given her series takes place in another universe, Guggenheim replied, “I think I can say it… I don't think it's that shocking. Last year, Supergirl established that Flash was able to make his way to what I call ‘Earth-CBS’ and it stands to reason that with the proper breach technology the reverse can happen.”
