Zampella: No Regrets on Lack of Titanfall 1 Campaign
Respawn Entertainment opted to make Titanfall 1 a multiplayer-only experience, and despite disappointment from some fans over the game's lack of a single-player campaign, studio co-founder Vince Zampella believes it was ultimately the right move.
When asked during the latest episode of IGN Unfiltered whether or not he regrets not including a single-player campaign in the original Titanfall, Zampella responded with a confident "no."
With regard to why he believes the lack of a campaign in Titanfall 1 was the right choice, Zampella said the team was still developing a solid understanding of Titanfall's mechanics when crafting the first game's multiplayer, and it wasn't until after the game's launch that Respawn was capable of making a truly great single-player experience.
How VR Will Change the Way We Work
It's looking like VR might be the next seismic shift in how we experience computing. Just like the Internet changed the way we interact with machines and information, VR could take us to another level of immersion. And if you think that it's just for gaming (which, to be fair, is currently its primary strength), you've got another thing coming.
The evolution of just about every major technology we've seen in the last few decades has started with entertainment and then made its way to productivity. Think about how high-end game engines pushed CPUs and graphics cards to be more powerful. Developers who start out making games in VR are going to want to use that tech for other things as well.

The Nintendo NX Has an Official Name – Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has officially revealed the Nintendo NX, and it has a new name, Nintendo Switch. It will be released in March 2017.
Announced in a teaser trailer, the Switch confirms the rumours we’ve heard previously - this is a powerful handheld console featuring two detachable pieces that can act as individual controllers (called Joy-Cons), and a TV-connected dock for playing on the big screen. Its physical games will come in the form of cartridges similar to those used for the Nintendo 3DS.
Switch transitions from TV to handheld mode by simply lifting the screen portion of the console out of the dock. Multiple Switch consoles can be used in tandem for local multiplayer play.
