Overwatch Removing Sudden Death in Competitive Season 2
In a new Overwatch developer update video, game director Jeff Kaplan outlined some of the major changes coming to Overwatch's second competitive season, which begins next month.
Among the most notable of the updates listed are the addition of skill rating tiers and the removal of Sudden Death matches, the latter of which many Overwatch players likened to an unfair coin toss.
You can watch Kaplan's update below.
In Season 1 of competitive Overwatch, skill ratings fall on a scale between 1-100, which Kaplan says "was wrong for a couple of reasons." The new system will introduce a scale from 1 to 5,000 so that, according to Kaplan, players don't have to feel bad about having a constantly fluctuating skill rating.

Daniel Bryan on His “Weird” New Role in WWE
With the recent WWE brand split came the opportunity for someone to step into the role of SmackDown Live General Manager. As it turned out, prodigal son Shane McMahon would head over to SmackDown, but as "Commissioner," and the GM role would then be filled by recently retired fan-favorite (and former World Champion) Daniel Bryan, who's now found new life on TV and the WWE Network as an on-air personality and commentator.
Now, for SummerSlam -- which airs Sunday, August 21st -- SmackDown Live will have its own brand matches, including Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler, John Cena vs. AJ Styles, and more. I had the chance to chat with Daniel Bryan about SummerSlam, transitioning into the GM role, his chemistry with Mauro Ranallo on Cruiserweight Classic commentary, John Cena's house rules on Total Bellas, and more.

The identity of Negan's victim will be revealed when The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres October 23 at 9pm on AMC.
The first eight episodes will air week-to-week before a midseason break that will be followed by the final eight episodes starting in February 2017.

Flash’s Ezra Miller on DC Movies’ Negative Reviews
Ezra Miller, who stars as The Flash in Warner Bros.' DCEU, has come forward to share his thoughts on Suicide Squad's negative critical reception.
Spoilers follow for Suicide Squad.
The actor, who has a brief cameo in David Ayer's villain-focused film, told MTV News the movie's reviews serve as motivation for the future. "You needn’t look any further than the Suicide Squad director and cast response to the negative reviews to feel how negative critiques motivate us," Miller said, noting they "can't base anything on" the critical reception.
