Ubisoft Reveals New Multiplayer Mode for Watch Dogs 2
Ubisoft has revealed a new mode, Bounty Hunter, for upcoming Watch Dogs 2.
This new "online component" links into Watch Dogs' "police heat" system. If your activities have brought a little too much attention onto yourself, you may trigger a Bounty Hunter PvP event that pits you against a rival team of up to three other players.
Alternatively, you can trigger a bounty yourself by using the Contacts app in Marcus' phone.
Ubisoft has also confirmed the return of Watch Dogs' Hacking Invasion - a mode in which you must stealthily acquire data from a target without detection - and detailed Online Co-op, a two-player exploration mode that enables you to team up for cooperative missions and check out the San Francisco Bay Area together.
Ubisoft Announces The Crew: Calling All Units Expansion
Ubisoft has announced the next expansion coming to The Crew, Calling All Units.
This is the second expansion for the driving MMO title and will be available from November 29 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Calling All Units is centred around the idea of Cops versus Robbers. The expansion introduces “brand-new police versus racer gameplay” and features a 12-mission story that lets players build up their own “cop style and tactics.”
As well as a level cap increase to 60, the expansion offers up new vehicles and parts – from indestructible cop SUVs to “exotic” supercars and motorbikes. Playing as cop means chasing down racers and performing arrests, while ripping up the tarmac as a street racer sees players transporting cargo for high rewards. Cop chases can be triggered at anytime, anywhere thanks to the game’s MMO environment.
Ubisoft’s Steep Release Date Revealed
Ubisoft’s alpine explorer Steep will release on December 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Also revealed at this year’s Gamescom was Steep’s Gold Edition, which comes bundled with the game’s season pass. According to Ubisoft, the season pass includes all expansions and digital content, outfits, equipment, and an exclusive costume.
Anyone who pre-orders either the Standard Edition or Gold Edition will receive The Moonlight Pack, which offers three extra night challenges three new night outfits, glowing equipment for activities, and a wingsuit rocket flare.
Ubisoft also says riders will be able to explore Alaska as part of a free, post-launch update.
Believe it or not, Steep is actually a by-product of the development of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. When it was first shown off at this year’s E3, Creative director Igor Manceau explained the game as an "open world action sports game designed with sharing in mind."

Harley Quinn and Deadshot Join Injustice 2 Roster
Harley Quinn and Deadshot are coming to Injustice 2.
NetherRealm showcased the two Suicide Squad members in a video at Gamescom. While this is Quinn’s second outing, Injustice 2 marks the first time Deadshot will be a playable character on console. That said, Deadshot did appear in the first game, albeit standing beside a pillar in the Stryker’s Island level.
Injustice 2 is the sequel to 2013's superpower brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and packs a sizeable roster of DC superheroes and villains.
Newcomers to Injustice 2 include the previously-revealed Gorilla Grodd and Red Lantern leader Atrocitus, while returning characters include Batman, Superman, and Aquaman.
Dark Souls 3 teases New DLC
The first major slice of DLC for Dark Souls 3 will be announced on August 24.
The team behind the fist-bitingly difficult action-RPG took to Twitter to tease that "huge news is on the way," directly addressing the community of Dark Souls players known as "Ashen Ones."

The tweet was first spotted by Gamespot, and while Bandai Namco has not officially said that the "major announcement" will be DLC, it was previously suggested that the game's first piece of DLC would be unwrapped this fall.
Konami Announces Metal Gear Survive
IGN can exclusively reveal Metal Gear Survive, a four-player stealth co-op game set within the Metal Gear universe, due for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2017.
Set directly after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Survive sees the members of Militaires Sans Frontières not killed in that game’s finale transported through wormholes into an alternate universe, where they’re forced to battle a force of crystalline zombies and, it seems, at least one Metal Gear itself.

“Metal Gear Survive will offer a fresh take on the series’ famed stealth elements,” said Konami European president, Tomotada Tashiro in a press release, “but within a unique co-op setting that is designed for a truly engrossing multiplayer experience.”
Some Saves for The Witcher 3: GOTYE Won’t Carry Over
Details about save data and achievements in the soon-to-be-released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Game of the Year/Complete Edition have been provided by developer CD Projekt Red.
As reported by GameSpot, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers will be disappointed to learn that save data from the original game will not transfer over to the new version.
This is confirmed by Eurogamer, who disclosed a statement from the game's community manager, Marcin Momot: "The save files on consoles won't be compatible between different game versions (GOTY vs regular version) as they are treated by systems as separate products. This is something that's not up to us. Sorry."
Viz Media Announces Super Mario, Twilight Princess Comics
Viz Media recently revealed that it has the publishing rights for the Super Mario Adventures comic and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga now rolling out in Japan.

The Super Mario comic Viz has acquired is the long-out-of-print Super Mario Adventures -- written by Kentaro Takekuma and drawn by Charlie Nozawa. This comic, starring our favorite super plumbers, originally ran in 1992 and 1993 issues of Nintendo Power. Mario enthusiasts will know that the plot is influenced from Super Mario World, so it also premiered crowd favorites: Yoshi and the mischievous Koopalings. Super Mario Adventures will be reprinted in October 2016.
Updated Nintendo Patent Further Details Modular Controller
Nintendo has updated its patent for a modular controller that features swappable buttons.
The patent, which was originally published back in 2014, was updated today (via Nintendo Life) and showcases various controller configurations that can be achieved with a modular design. For example, a d-pad can be removed from the side of the device and replaced by an attachment with face buttons.
