Avengers: Infinity War,Sequel Will Mark a New Beginning

Avengers: Infinity War and its now untitled sequel are set to mark the culmination of everything the Marvel Cinematic Universe has built since its inception in 2008 with Iron Man. But what is meant to be an ending to over a decade of films will also be a fresh start for the MCU, according to the directors of the upcoming Avengers films.

Joe and Anthony Russo, speaking with IGN ahead of the home release of Captain America: Civil War, spoke to the ability of the MCU to simultaneously pay off storylines that run for years while setting up the universe's future. The two directors had the chance to do just that with Civil War, introducing both Spider-Man and Black Panther, both of whom will be getting their own solo films, into the MCU — and, according to them, the next two Avengers films will offer a similar opportunity.

Fargo Actress Joins The Flash as New Villain

The Flash has found its Frances Kane (aka Magenta) in Fargo star Joey King.

According to ComicBook.com the actress will guest as the aforementioned comic book villain during Season 3's third episode. This isn't the first DC role for King, as the actress also starred as young Talia in The Dark Knight Rises.

Star Wars, The Witcher Featured in Gamescom Cosplay

Gamescom is upon us, and many are headed to Cologne, Germany to take part in one of the largest video game conventions in the world. As is custom at cons, there's plenty of awesome cosplay on display, and we're happy to bring you images of some of our favorites.

The cosplay game is strong in Germany, as we spotted a handful of amazing-looking Geralts of Rivia, Star Wars stormtroopers and Kylo Ren, and even a Deadpool with an impressive replica suit. The Dark Tower Photo Offers New Look at Jake Chambers

A new look at the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series showcases one of the film's characters at a crossroads — between worlds.

Tom Taylor, who is playing Jake Chambers in the 2017 film, debuted an image from the movie in which his character stands at a portal bridging his world, Earth, to presumably Mid-World, the home of protagonist Roland Deschain. Taylor included the caption, "Traveller, beyond lies Mid-World," with the photo.

Westworld: HBO Reveals New Photos

Ahead of Westworld's premiere this October, HBO has released a batch of new photos from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's upcoming drama series.

Westworld boasts as massive cast that includes Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Robert Ford, Sidse Babett Knudsen as Theresa Cullen, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores Abernathy, Ed Harris as The Man in Black, Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton, James Marsden as Teddy and many more.

Westworld is written and executive produced by Nolan (Person of Interest, The Dark Knight) and Joy (Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice), and provides a fresh take on Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name.

The Good Place Does Something New on TV

Kristen Bell and Ted Danson have one promise for viewers about their new NBC comedy: you haven't seen anything like it.

In a new video exclusive to IGN, Bell and Danson preview what's in store for the show's September 19th premiere. Check it out below.

The duo star in the new series from The Office and Parks and Recreation's Mike Schur, which sees Bell's character Eleanor Shellstrop sent to the "good place" after she dies. There she meets Danson's character, the architect for this specific slice of heaven, and realizes that maybe she isn't the person who actually was supposed to be sent to such an -- on the surface -- great place.

Niantic Taking Action Against Pokemon Go Cheaters

Pokemon Go developer Niantic Labs has begun "taking action" against the game's cheaters, according to a new post on the company's website for the game. Those caught "taking unfair advantage of and abusing Pokemon Go" will have their accounts terminated.

There are many ways for players to cheat in Pokemon Go, and if Niantic's system determines a player has been using any of those methods, they'll receive an email stating that the account in question has been terminated.

"Our main priority with Pokemon Go is to provide a fair, fun, and legitimate game experience for all players," Niantic said in the blog post. So that means no desktop emulators, no automated bots, and no Pokemon trackers are allowed.

Godzilla Animated Movie Coming Next Year

A feature-length animated Godzilla movie is in development at Toho, the Japanese creator and home of the King of the Monsters, and will be released sometime next year.

According to Variety, the screenplay for the film, simply titled Godzilla, is being written by Psycho-Pass: The Movie writer Gen Urobuchi and will tell an original story.

Polygon Pictures is producing the animated feature, and Detective Conan series director Kobun Shizuno is co-directing the film alongside Hiroyuki Seshita, who helmed the popular Netflix anime series Knights of Sidonia. "We’re aiming to make a big-scale animation entertainment that people who love Godzilla and people who know nothing about him can both enjoy," Shizuno said of the project in a statement.

Supergirl and Wonder Woman Have Finally Met

Supergirl star Melissa Benoist has revealed the first on-set photo of herself with former Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter.

Posted on her official Instagram page, the photo shows Benoist in costume embracing Carter, who will play the President of the United States in the show's second season.

Carter played Wonder Woman/Diana Prince from 1975-1979 in the TV series based on the DC Comics character. According to the casting announcement made earlier this year, Carter will make her debut in the third episode of Supergirl's sophomore season.
