Sasha Banks is Psyched to Be in WWE 2K17
Last summer, at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, Sasha Banks and Bayley had, arguably, the best match of the entire year. This year, Sasha's walking into WWE SummerSlam as the Women's Champion to defend her title against former champ Charlotte.
On top of that, Sasha will be in a WWE video game for the first time via 2K17. For Banks, a gamer herself, this is also a big deal, as she explained to IGN at the 2K17/SummerSlam kickoff event in New York this week.
"When October 11th rolls around, the first thing I'm going to do is play 2K17," said Banks. "I saw a little bit of myself in the game and it looked awesome. It's a dream come true to be in the game. It's my first time being in it. And then when you add walking into SummerSlam as Women's Champion, there are so many things going on in my life and it's amazing."
AJ Styles on His “All or Nothing” Cena SummerSlam Match
This Sunday, August 21st, AJ Styles heads into his first ever SummerSlam for a third, and possibly feud-ending, match with John Cena. Styles won their first showdown back at Money in the Bank. Then, at Battleground, Cena nailed the AA for the pin and win. Now we're down to a tie-breaker.
At the WWE 2K17 SummerSlam kickoff event in New York, I spoke to Styles -- a pretty notable gamer in his own right -- about his upcoming match with Cena, finally being a part of a WWE game, his favorite old school wrestling game, and who he still wants to face in WWE.
Kevin Owens Talks WWE 2K17 and SummerSlam
At WWE SummerSlam -- airing Sunday, August 21st on the WWE Network -- John Cena will take on AJ Styles, Finn Balor will battle Seth Rollins, and the mouthy duo of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho will confront "Realest Guys in the Room" Enzo and Big Cass.
I had a chance to briefly chat with Kevin Owens at the NYC's WWE 2K17 SummerSlam kickoff event and ask him about the match, along with appearing in 2K17, the video games he grew up playing, and getting drafted to RAW.

Original Yu-Gi-Oh! Voice Actors Return for New Movie
Original Yu-Gi-Oh! voice actors Dan Green and Eric Stuart are returning for the upcoming animated film Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.
According to 4K Media's announcement, Green is back to voice Yugi Muto and Stuart will reprise his role as Seto Kaiba for the English-dubbed North American release. To go along with the news, the first trailer for dubbed version of the film was revealed, which you can check out below.
"We are thrilled to be working once again with Dan and Eric on this current Yu-Gi-Oh! production," producer Shane Guenego said in a statement. "They both bring such energy and passion, not to mention a strong history to these roles. It is fun to have them in the studio once again!"
Captain America: Civil War Cut Scene Hinted at Beloved Comic Book Story
Though Captain America: Civil War keeps the relationship between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes at the heart of its story while balancing its ensemble cast, the film still couldn't fit in every story beat the Russo brothers had in mind.
Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed Civil War and are also on board for the next two Avengers films, recently spoke to IGN about the sheer challenge of balancing the film's expansive cast and story. Some things had to be cut in the process, and in particular one extracted scene had its roots in the characters' coming book history.
"There is a scene that is a cut scene. It's a small piece of the fight at Leipzig where there's a very fun interaction between Cap and Bucky, and it kind of hints at a favorite storyline in the books," Anthony Russo said. "I won't go into the detail about it, but there's a little tease in that scene that is pretty fun."
Mission: Impossible 6 Halts Over Tom Cruise Salary Dispute
Pre-production on Mission: Impossible 6 has been put on hold, as Paramount Pictures seeks to resolve a salary dispute with Tom Cruise before moving forward on the film.
According to Deadline, a team of around 15 people in London who started work on visual effects were told to stop prepping for the film, and won't resume until the issue regarding Cruise's salary has been resolved.
The outlet has heard two different scenarios, the first of which claims Paramount wants the film's leading man and the producers at Bad Robot and Skydance to lower their rates. The other scenario suggests the studio wants to pay Cruise around the same amount he received for Rogue Nation, but the actor wants a raise on par with what Universal gave him for The Mummy.
Vin Diesel: Guardians Are in Avengers: Infinity War
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, according to Guardians actor Vin Diesel.
During a Facebook livestream (via ScreenRant), the actor who voices Groot in the MCU said "the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War," noting that it's "incredibly exciting" and "surreal," calling back to a photo of himself in front of an Avengers poster after a meeting with Marvel in 2013.
