20 Years of Rare Tomb Raider Images
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise. In celebration, current Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics – who took the reins of the series from original developer Core Design in 2003 – shared a treasure trove of assets, many of them never-before-seen. Check out the slideshow below to see how Lara's look has changed over the past two decades.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Film Trademark Filed
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - the new J.K. Rowling play, which opens this month in London's West End - has had a movie-specific trademark filed by Warner Bros.
Spotted by IP lawyer Brian Conway, Warner Bros. applied for a class 9 trademark in the UK, which specifies "motion picture films". Conway points out that Rowling herself has also filed a class 9 trademark for the play in the past.
Rowling has previously denied the play is becoming a film (although some have pointed out that her wording doesn't necessarily rule out it becoming a film in the future).
Mark Ruffalo Shares Video from Thor: Ragnarok Set
Mark Ruffalo — the actor behind the Hulk's massive green fists — seems to be enjoying himself on the set of Thor: Ragnarok. In particular, he sounds very excited about his "legendary man-cancelling suit."
"It's glamorous," Ruffalo says, "but someone has to do it."
Hi again. Here's another sneak peek at a day in the life of a #Hulk on the set of #Thor3 @thorofficialhttps://t.co/ojM5YPxSif
Watch Two Monster Hunters’ Journey Through Generations
You may have heard that Monster Hunter Generations is really rather good. It's a game of skill, of patience, of skin-crawling defeat and bellowing victory. Let us prove that to you in condensed form.
What started as the simple challenge of two hunters (one newbie, and one who said he was an expert and then failed to demonstrate that at almost any point) taking on a multiplayer boss designed to be taken down by four players quickly became an epic journey of self-discovery and caffeine-induced tremors.
Here's the whole series, following the travails of Alysia and myself as we stumbled through Monster Hunter's complex, punishing, brilliant systems, and emerging with smiles on our faces and a whole lot of baby animal skins in our pouches.
Power Rangers Movie Character Posters Revealed
We've seen them in costume before, but now each new Power Ranger has their very own poster.
Released today by Lionsgate, the film's five leads each get an appropriately coloured billing, along with a character name, just in case you've forgotten all the originals.
Arguably, the lead characters are the least starry part of the franchise reboot, with Bryan Cranston along for the ride as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa. Personally, I'm still hoping we get a surprise Tommy Oliver appearance by Cillian Murphy or something.

Bungie Teases New Gear Available in Rise of Iron Expansion
Destiny: Rise of Iron — the next major expansion for the game — is slated for release on September 20, and with it comes new gear.
This new Hunter gear will be available for Trials of Osiris champions once Destiny: Rise of Iron is released in the fall. You'll want to get practicing; the new armor is pretty sleek with its blue and gold accents and white cape. Bungie offered a preview on the official Destiny Twitter account.
Check Out the Cool Opening Credits for Stranger Things
As I referenced in my review of Stranger Things, the new Netflix series debuting Friday, the opening credits quickly help set the stage for the show and its expertly done homage to the films of the 1980s. With the graphic imagery of the logo (evoking Stephen King novels) to the music, which feels straight from an 80s John Carpenter film, the mood is created for a show that feels right out of the era it’s set in.
IGN has the exclusive debut of the opening sequence of Stranger Things, in a special version that removes the cast and crew credits, letting you take in just the work of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, who composed the music, and Imaginary Forces, who designed the sequence.
