Sony Reportedly Won’t Have a Press Conference at Gamescom
It looks like Sony won't be holding a press conference at this year's Gamescom either.
According to Jeux Video (via VideoGamer), a PlayStation France representative told them "there will be no PlayStation conference at Gamescom."
IGN has reached out to Sony, and we'll be sure to update you when we have more information.
This follows similar news from earlier this week when Microsoft announced it definitely won't be holding a press conference in Cologne next month.
10 Game of Thrones Moments That Give Us Too Much Joy
It's not all doom and gloom on HBO's Game of Thrones. Though the taglines of the show are frequently foreboding -- "you win or you die" and "winter is coming" aren't exactly bursting with positivity -- there is plenty of happiness that has come out of the show and continues to give us joy.
While we're still not over the losses of some of our favorite characters (and don't you dare ask us to "hold the door"), Season 6 did bring us some unexpected moments of delight, moments we didn't know how much we were missing until we got them. Game of Thrones has been doling out great moments like that since the beginning, so here's a look back at some of the highlights while we wait the long nights ahead until a (delayed) Season 7 arrives.

Pokemon Go Is the Pokemon Snap Sequel We’ve Been Waiting For
It always seemed like a misstep for Nintendo to never release a Pokemon Snap sequel for the Wii U. The technology was all there: instead of using the Nintendo 64 controller to move around your camera and try to catch 'em all on your TV screen, you could use the Wii U gamepad, using the motion control element to snap quick photos of Pokemon on the touch pad.
But it seems Nintendo was right to wait, because the best spiritual successor to the one-off Pokemon title came not on a console, but on a mobile device.
It's an understatement to say The Pokemon Company and Niantic's new game Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm. It's reportedly made more than $14 million since its launch Friday, caused Nintendo's stock and market values to skyrocket and has more active users than Instagram, as well as probably Twitter at this point. Its film rights have been purchased, and it's led to both new, creative ways to commit crimes and the discovery of at least one dead body. And all for the simplest concept: using augmented reality to catch Pokemon in the wild.
