Legends of Tomorrow Star’s New Status on DC TV Shows

This week's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow included a pivotal moment that impacted the fate of one particular character. In the wake of that event, series co-creator and executive producer Greg Berlanti has shed light on what's next.

Warning: Spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow's May 12th episode, "Destiny", follow.

During the episode -- read IGN's review here -- Wentworth Miller’s character Leonard Snart (aka Captain Cold) sacrifices himself in order to defeat Vandal by destroying a device controlling the Legends called the Oculus. In order to destroy the Oculus, a fail safe must be manually held in place, so Snart takes on the task and is killed in the explosion.

Sleepy Hollow Renewed for Season 4

FOX's supernatural television drama Sleepy Hollow has been renewed for a fourth season.

In addition to Sleepy Hollow's renewal, Deadline reports that Minority Report has been officially canceled, joining Bordertown, The Grinder and several other shows among the network's current lineup that won't receive another season.

Warning: Sleepy Hollow: Season 3 finale spoilers below.

FOX's decision to continue Sleepy Hollow for a fourth season is notable, as the show's female lead, Abbie (Nicole Beharie), was killed in the season finale. While Beharie reportedly had asked to leave the series, there was considerable fan outcry over killing Abbie off, given the show had centered on the Abbie/Crane duo.

ABC Renews Dr. Ken and Last Man Standing

After a string of cancellations last night, ABC has now announced a few comedies that will stick around.

EW reports that the Ken Jeong comedy Dr. Ken was renewed for a second season, having averaged 6.1 million viewers this year. The Tim Allen comedy Last Man Standing was also renewed for a sixth season, averaging 8 million viewers. They join several comedies ABC renewed earlier this year, including Modern Family, The Middle, Fresh off the Boat and Black-ish.

Meanwhile, ABC also announced the orders of two new series. Notorious, a lawyer drama based on the real-life criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker, promises a look at the "dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media." ABC also ordered Imaginary Mary, about a woman who falls in love with a divorced dad and then rediscovers her imaginary (and for the purposes of the show, CGI) friend from her childhood to guide her through the relationship.

NBC Cancels Undateable, Telenovela and More

NBC has cancelled a trio of comedies and two freshman dramas.

EW reports that the comedies Telenovela, Undateable, and Crowded were all given the axe today. Undateable was in its third season and experimented with live shows on Friday nights, but failed to pick up a significant audience. Telenovela and Crowded were both mid-season shows that finished their runs with low ratings.

Meanwhile, the thriller Game of Silence only aired seven episodes, logging 0.7 rating among the 18-49 year old demographic over the last five episodes. The medical drama Heartbeat did better with a 1.4 rating, but still fell short and was cancelled.

An Interview With Star Wars’ Boba Fett

I recently had a chance to chat with the real Boba Fett himself, screen and stage actor Jeremy Bulloch. Mr. Bulloch is featured in the recently-released Elstree 1976, a documentary about the actors behind the masks in the original Star Wars films (check out IGN's review here). Over the course of over half a century, he's inhabited roles in story franchises like James Bond, Doctor Who, and Robin Hood. But most memorably, Bulloch played the iconic, fan favorite bounty hunter who outfoxed Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back and met his end in Return of the Jedi.

Bulloch's candor and humor during the pre-interview pleasantries are striking. He's warm, friendly, and radiates a natural humility. As the tape starts rolling, I ask him about what its like getting into and out of the Boba Fett costume. "Well, you have someone to help you because it is impossible just on your own unless you're a genius," he says. "It's just.. it crosses around your neck, you pull that down, then you've got the knee pads or the knee rolls, what we call them. And that cuts in the back of your knee and you're sweating before you even start the day. It's just terribly uncomfortable. But, I would have done that and gone through that pain to play Boba Fett. That was such fun."

Ranking the Final Fantasy Games

Few video game franchises have remained as consistently incredible as Final Fantasy. For nearly 30 years, each new Final Fantasy game from Square (and later Square-Enix) has been a major cultural event. But which games in this beloved franchise are the best, and which were a little too experimental for their own good?

IGN's resident FF addicts decided to put our heads together to decide on definitive our personal rankings for the the best Final Fantasy games. Although Final Fantasy XI and XIV are fantastic MMOs, we chose to focus on only on the single-player, mainline entries in the franchise.
