9 Comics Characters Who Could Join Agents of SHIELD
Agents of SHIELD is not a show that likes to stick to the same status quo every season. The series is gearing up for another big change as the Season 3 finale revealed which agent fell and a glimpse at what the future holds for Coulson and his team. That's to say nothing of the impact Captain America: Civil War will have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A new status quo also means new heroes and villains, and we're hoping Season 4 will have plenty of both. We've already explored the existing MCU characters we're hoping to see make the jump to TV, but what about the many Marvel characters we've yet to see in live-action?

New Animated Garfield Movie Announced
The comic strip character Garfield is getting another full-length movie, but this one will be fully animated.
Alcon Entertainment announced today that it has secured exclusive rights for a Garfield CG-animated movie, with creator Jim Davis tapped to serve as executive producer. In the announcement, Alcon said it plans to build a franchise of animated Garfield films.
“I’ve been so impressed with the quality of animation and storytelling coming out of Hollywood of late,” Davis said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get into production with the terrific team Alcon has assembled.”
The character has already had two feature-length movies over the last few years, both having featured a mix of CG characters and real-life actors. The announcement that this movie will be all CG, along with the involvement of Davis, seems to suggest a direction closer in tone and style to the original comic strips.

Mark Millar Offering $10,000 Per Issue to New Hit-Girl Artist
Comic book writer Mark Millar is looking for someone to draw his upcoming Hit-Girl series, and he's publicly offering $10,000 per issue and a "generous royalty package" to the selected artist.
"Instead of messing around emailing people privately I thought I'd just do a big shout out right now to the comic-book community," Millar said in a forum post on MillarWorld. "We're looking for someone truly great for this, someone who can really handle a monthly deadline."
The plan is to publish approximately 8 issues a year, making for two four-issue arcs, and "payment is $10,000 dollars an issue for black and white art and a generous royalty package for monthly books and trades." As noted by Newarama, Millar's open call offer makes for one of the highest-paying projects in comic book history.

NASA to Resume Focus on Moon Missions
Lawmakers in the United States House of Representatives are encouraging NASA to focus its efforts on returning to the Moon as an alternative pathway to its Mars expedition.
NASA's current "direct-to-Mars" plan focuses on an asteroid landing—along with "other operations in the vicinity of the Moon," according to Ars Technica—before taking off for the Moon "some time in the 2030s."
While the committee recognized the merit in "some" of NASA's asteroid research—like advanced propulsion technology—it found that "neither a robotic nor a crewed mission to an asteroid appreciably contribute to the over-arching mission to Mars."
