Avatar: James Cameron Promises 4 Sequels
James Cameron announced at CinemaCon 2016 today that there will be four Avatar sequels, with the first hitting theaters in 2018.
Avatar 2 was pushed back earlier this year to avoid opening the same weekend as Star Wars Episode VIII, and now it looks like that movie will be the first of many to come within James Cameron's universe.
According to Variety, the next three films will premiere in 2020, 2022 and 2023. Cameron said the sequels would be filmed concurrently and each will be a standalone film, which combined will create a complete saga.

GoT Showrunners Want Fewer Episodes for Seasons 7, 8
If Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss get their way, there will be fewer episodes produced in the beloved HBO series' final two seasons.
In a chat with Variety, Benioff and Weiss revealed their reasons for wanting to produce less than the series' usual 10 episodes per season for the homestretch.
“I think we’re down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We’re heading into the final lap,” Benioff told the trade. “That’s the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that’s what we’re looking at.”
As Variety puts it, "Weiss and Benioff said they can’t continue to produce 10 episodes of the show in the show’s usual 12- or 14-month time frame. 'It’s crossing out of a television schedule into more of a mid-range movie schedule,' Weiss said."

The Division Drives Up March Software Sales
The NPD Group has released sales figures for March, and Tom Clancy's The Division was the top-selling game for the month.
Sony's PlayStation 4 was the top selling console for March 2016, with The Division unsurprisingly selling best on PS4.
Two Wii U exclusives debuted on the sales chart, with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Pokken Tournament coming in at third and seventh, respectively. Both titles were also the only console-exclusives on the list.
Hardware sales overall were down a whopping 19 percent in dollar-sales for the month over the same period last year. However, The Division helped to drive software sales up 8% higher during the same period.
