Outlander: Why Claire’s Iconic Red Dress Is So Modern and Revealing
Outlander is going to Versailles in the second episode of Season 2, and it’s going to dress to the occasion.
If you thought the costumes in the Starz series were stunning up until this point, just wait until you get an eyeful of Claire Fraser’s gown that she wears to the court of King Louis XV. The gorgeous red dress has been the focal point of much of Season 2’s ad campaign, and when it’s brought up to star Caitriona Balfe, she can’t help but gush about the look costume designer Terry Dresbach put together.

Super Mario Bros. Has a New Speedrun World Record
Super Mario Bros., arguably the most recognizable game of all time, has a new "any percentage" completion record. The 4-minute, 57.260-second world record was set by speedrunner darbian.
The new record beats the old one by just 0.007 seconds. To give you an idea of just how close that is, it takes about 0.3 seconds to blink.
"Any percentage" means taking advantage of in-game shortcuts like warp zones to skip over levels and shave down the time to as few precious minutes as possible. It varies from a 100% completion, which requires traversing each level in order, and takes quite a bit longer.
If you have five minutes to spare, watch the incredible skills on display. If you didn't know any better, you might think this flawless run is tool-assisted. But it's not. In fact, one YouTube commenter points out darbian's run is only 15 frames off from a tool-assisted run. In other words, darbian is more machine than man, like some type of Super Mario Bros. Terminator.

The 5 Best Anime of Winter 2016
With the winter 2016 anime season complete, IGN has picked the five shows that are primed for binging. If you missed these anime, you’ll definitely want to give them a try.
To qualify for this list, the anime had to have ended its season in winter.
Erased consistently handles its darker topics with grace. A disturbing and serious look at the horrors of child abuse keeps its murder mystery from feeling stale, and its take on childhood is refreshing. Protagonist Satoru is sent back in time to his elementary school days, and watching him navigate childhood relationships with the knowledge and maturity of an adult is consistently excellent. His friendships are heartfelt from beginning to end and add both weight and hope to the serial killer plot, and they provide the depth to each other that makes Erased meaningful and fantastic from beginning to end.
Daredevil Showrunners Will Also Run The Defenders
Marvel has announced the showrunners for the upcoming Netflix series The Defenders.
Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who took over as showrunners on Marvel's Daredevil for Season 2, will also serve as executive producers and showrunners on Defenders. Drew Goddard (The Martian, Lost, Alias) was also announced as an executive producer on Defenders. Goddard was originally going to be showrunner on Season 1 of Daredevil and while he ended up leaving the series -- with Steven DeKnight taking over on Daredevil's first year -- Goddard's scripts for the first two episodes were still used on the series.
The Defenders will be a miniseries featuring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, following the Netflix solo series for all four, with Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones all reprising their roles as their respective characters.
Rainbow Six Siege Free for the Weekend
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is free to play on PC this weekend.
From April 15 to April 18, Ubisoft is offering the game for free on Uplay and Steam. Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege will be available for 33 percent off the full, regular game or 40 percent off the gold edition—though only through Sunday.
To access Rainbow Six Siege on Uplay, players should launch Uplay PC and click on the Rainbow Six Siege free weekend banner. For Steam access, players simply have to visit the Rainbow Six Siege product page via the Steam client.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege released December 1, 2015. IGN gave Rainbow Six Siege a 7.9 out of 10 for its tense, riveting gameplay and interesting maps. The game's grind-y progression system and lack of content disappointed us, though.
