Outlander: The History vs. Fiction of Bonnie Prince Charlie

Bonnie Prince Charlie is an incredibly important figure in Scotland’s history, but in the context of Outlander: Season 2, he’s bad news for main characters Claire and Jamie Fraser.

With the Frasers’ mission to stop the Battle of Culloden from ever happening, their goal is to try to prevent Prince Charles Stuart, aka Bonnie Prince Charlie, from staking his claim on the British throne. It’s a huge challenge for Jamie to have to move against his own people, but also a huge challenge for actor Sam Heughan. In filming Season 2, he had to act opposite a fictionalized version of an important figure from his country’s history who is being characterized in a very different manner from how Heughan learned about him in school.

Opinion: DC Needs to Take Vertigo Back to Its Roots

The last few years have been rocky ones for DC's once-venerable Vertigo imprint. Vertigo has now lost two of its guiding forces, first with the departure of Executive Editor Karen Berger in 2012 and more recently with the termination of her replacement, Shelly Bond. Vertigo is now facing major restructuring as DC Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee take direct control of the imprint.

Bond's termination comes as the mature readers imprint has struggled to keep pace with independent publishers like Image Comics and rebuild its comic book lineup. It's not easy to replace the likes of Fables, Y: The Last Man and Scalped. And maybe the truth is that there's no point in trying. Rather than focusing on creator-owned comics and trying to beat publishers like Image at their own game, the Vertigo imprint needs to return to its roots as a haven for mature, literary DC stories.

Game of Thrones Will Have 10-15 Episodes Left After Season 6

Game of Thrones executive producers and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have given an updated estimate of how long the show will last after Season 6.

They told The Hollywood Reporter that fans of the show can expect 10-15 more episodes after this year's finale. This number is a bit more flexible than the 13 episodes Benioff had previously said he felt were left after Season 6, though still seems to indicate the show will end by 2018.

Heads Up: Jar Jar Binks Could Be in Rogue One

Rogue One bridges the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, which opens the door for few weird things. Like, for instance…Jar Jar Binks.

Jar Jar Digitally Inserted into a Rogue One Still Jar Jar Digitally Inserted into a Rogue One Still

I’m not saying I think he’ll be in the movie. But Jar-Jar is still pretty spry in the prequel trilogy. Rogue One takes place just 20 years after Revenge of the Sith. When Jyn Erso and her crew are stirring up trouble stealing the Death Star plans, Jar Jar is probably alive somewhere in the galaxy. Maybe even still serving in the Galactic Senate. It wasn’t dissolved until after the beginning of A New Hope.

New Blood and Wine Screenshots Show Off The Witcher 3’s New World

CD Projekt Red has revealed five new screenshots for the final piece of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC, Blood and Wine. By god is it pretty.

As ever, it's worth reading the developer's screenshot titles for an extra hint of information - we've included them under each image below, but we've learned that the haughty queen-like figure is Toussaint's ruler Anna Henrietta, the restaurant scene is a location called Beauclair, and those horrible centipede enemies are called (ahem) Scolopendromorphs.

Blood and Wine will centre around a new location, Toussaint, which will rival "the size of
