Lights Out: Horror Film Shines in WonderCon Trailer

New Line Cinema's new horror film Lights Out, from The Conjuring 2 producer James Wan and first-time director David F. Sandberg, made a strong impression with its trailer debut and panel at WonderCon 2015.

Starring Maria Bello and Teresa Palmer, Lights Out offers a new twist on a familiar horror trope: a figure haunts someone when the lights go out. In this case, it's actually the parent who is haunted by a terrifying figure instead of the child.

"I always figured it would be more scary if the parent has the invisible friend," Sandberg explained on the panel. "It sort of started there, and then it turned into this whole story of dealing with your parents and family history."

Nick’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tokka is Coming!

Turtle Power, indeed! Today at Wondercon, Nickelodeon's TMNT paid a visit to the LA Convention Center to preview what's in store for the rest of Season 4. Joining the panel were executive producer Bradon Auman, as well as voice cast members Rob Paulsen ("Donatello"), Greg Cipes ("Michelangelo"), Kevin Michael Richardson ("Shredder"), Christian Lanz ("Fishface") and special guest Zelda Williams ("Mona Lisa") making her WonderCon debut.

Having voiced both Mona and Kuvira on The Legend of Korra, Williams is garnering a track record of playing badass females on Nickelodeon. "I have a feeling that's all I'm going to get to play: dictators and six-foot-tall lizards," she joked.

The Conjuring 2: Watch the Full Trailer

The Conjuring 2 might be tackling the famous Enfield paranormal case, but expect to see some links back to the events at Amityville from James Wan's first Conjuring film.

While presenting a new trailer for The Conjuring 2 at WonderCon 2016, Wan opened up about how it connects to 2013's The Conjuring. "We knew that in some ways we had to touch on their most famous case, and that is Amityville. Amityville in some ways dictated what the rest ... would be," he said of the two stories' connections. "We wanted to find a story that mirrored each other."

The new trailer, which can be viewed above, expanded upon the previously released teaser trailer (below). The Amityville case still haunts Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga), and she can tell that a creature is out to kill her husband Ed (Patrick Wilson) in Enfield -- or so the trailer suggests.

BvS: Zack Snyder on Including Jimmy Olsen

Now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is out in theaters, director Zack Snyder has opened up about the long-speculated inclusion of Superman's trusty photographer, Jimmy Olsen.

Warning: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice spoilers below.

While Jimmy Olsen is indeed in the film, his somewhat-brief appearance likely slipped under the radar of many viewers. The character is played by Michael Cassidy (Smallville The O.C.) and makes a quick exit early on in the film after being outed as a CIA spook, and subsequently shot in the head, when accompanying Lois Lane (Amy Adams) on a mission in Africa.

Snyder revealed why he opted to introduce -- and swiftly kill off -- the character in this manner, telling EW they "just did it as this little aside" since they "don't have room for Jimmy Olsen in
