Batman Wields a Gun in The Dark Knight III

There's a new issue of The Dark Knight III: The Master Race hitting stores this month, and DC has revealed another impressive lineup of variant covers to go along with it. These covers will feature famous artists like Frank Miller, Jim Lee and John Romita, Jr. lending their own takes on the Dark Knight Universe.

Check out the main cover and all five variants for The Dark Knight III: The Master Race #3 below:

As with issue #2, these variant covers are incentive-based rather than retailer-exclusives. They'll be available at any comic shop (assuming said shop ordered enough copies to qualify), but don't be surprised if you have to pay a premium to own them.

The Dark Knight III: The Master Race #3 explores what happens when a fanatical group of Kandorians are restored to normal size and begin a bloody war of conquest on Earth. Bruce Wayne and Carrie Kelly are determined to stop the so-called "Master Race," but to do so they'll have to free Superman from his icy prison.

Path of Exile Introduces the Elementalist as New Ascendancy Class

Path of Exile didn't really have a mage class when it first came out — the closest you could really get was The Witch, a sort of River Tam lookalike who tossed out spells with an unmistakable touch of malice. That'll change a bit, though, with the free-to-play action RPG's upcoming Ascendancy expansion. Developer Grinding Gear Games' lead designer Chris Wilson tells me they're introducing the new Elementalist class as a specialization for the Witch, which channels the class' energies into a purer focus on fire, ice, and lightning. It's not concerned at all with chaos damage. If your magical inclinations thus tend to favor Warcraft's Jaina Proudmoore over, say, Dragon Age's Morrigan, you might want to jump in when Ascendancy drops in March.

Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza and Jean Smart Join Legion

The Guest and Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens will portray Professor X's son David Haller in Legion.

FX also announced that Parks and Rec actress Aubrey Plaza and Fargo actress Jean Smart have also joined the superhero show's cast. Plaza is set to play Lenny, a friend of Haller's who's optimistic but battles drug addiction.

Meanwhile, Smart will portray the therapist Melanie. It's intriguing to note that Smart's addition means she'll pair up again with previously cast Rachel Keller (Syd). Smart was Keller's grandmother in Fargo.

The Fargo connection for Legion doesn't stop there, though. Legion executive producer Noah Hawley — who penned the pilot — also serves as the TV showrunner for Fargo.

Mad Max Director Talks Lost Justice League Film

Did you know there were plans for a Justice League movie as far back as 2007? Except it wasn't Zack Snyder who was attached to direct it back then.

After the massive success of Max Max: Fury Road, director George Miller recently had a in-depth interview with The Hollywood Reporter (via CBR) about his career in which he reminisced about the Justice League movie he was set to direct several years ago.

"That was, oh, seven years ago, I think," said Miller. "And there was a really great script. And Warners said, 'Let's do it. Let's do a Justice League

Soderbergh May (or May Not) Be Coming Out of Retirement

Following his work on the 2013 film Side Effects, Steven Soderbergh hasn't directed another major motion picture. However, the esteemed director may be coming out of film-directing retirement, according to various reports.

A number of outlets, including VarietyThe Hollywood Reporter and Deadline have all heard that Soderbergh may return to the director's chair for a new film starring Channing Tatum. However, there are few discrepancies among the reports. Both Variety and Deadline claim Soderbergh is directing, while THR says it's not yet known if he's on board to direct or just produce.
