2016 MVP Named in Puppy Bowl XII
Star, a 20-week old Chow Chow / Labrador mix playing in her rookie year in the prestigious Puppy Bowl, has been officially named the Puppy Bowl XII MVP. Proudly representing her home state of Florida, this scraggly scamperer chewed up the canine competition as part of the 2016 Starting Line-Up at this year's Puppy Bowl.
The 12th year of Puppy Bowl play once again pitted the underdog Team Fluff against returning chomp'ions, Team Ruff. Last year's Puppy Bowl was the highest-scoring Puppy Bowl in history -- a 73 to 45 spanking by the rough-and-tumble Ruffs. The Fluffs have since licked their wounds and came in with determination in their eyes (and also eye boogers,) but by the time the silent whistle blew on Puppy Bowl XII, Star and the rest of the Ruff team were once again crowned Best in Show.
Battalion 1944 Reaches Funding Goal in Less Than 3 Days
UK-based developer Bulkhead Interactive has confirmed that its upcoming World War II multiplayer shooter Battalion 1944 reached its £100,000 Kickstarter funding target in less than three days after being announced.
“Thank you for backing Battalion 1944,” said Bulkhead Interactive producer Joe Brammer in a statement. “The team you're investing in are ready to build the next big first person shooter. We couldn't have done it without you, the community.”
The Bulkhead Interactive team has also promised to invest a minimum extra of £100,000 of their own money into Battalion 1944, and all funding received past the initial Kickstarter goal will be put towards soon-to-be-announced stretch goals.
Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor in Turkish Airlines Ads
Turkish Airlines called upon Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice characters Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor to tout their respective hometowns in two new ads dropped on Super Bowl Sunday.
The commercials seen below feature Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg as their characters to sell viewers on using Turkish Airlines to visit Gotham City and Metropolis, respectively:
Turkish Airlines previously released a commercial for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice featuring Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman in her civilian guise as Diana Prince:
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in March.

Backwards Compatible Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One an ‘Error’, Access Removed
Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb has clarified that several Xbox 360 games that Xbox One users discovered backwards compatibility support for over the weekend, including Red Dead Redemption, were made available due to an error.
“Microsoft tests all Xbox 360 games with our emulator to ensure a quality experience across a breadth of titles,” Hryb wrote in a new post on Reddit. “Due to an error, some of the games currently in test were accidentally made available. We have since removed access to those games, and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We will have more information on upcoming releases soon.”
Check Out Psylocke vs Deadpool in Olivia Munn’s New Vid
Olivia Munn has taken to Instagram to show off her sword game - vs the Merc with a Mouth.
In a new video, Munn demonstrates some of the ambidextrous sword skills she's learned for her role in the forthcoming movie X-Men: Apocalypse. As her sparring partner, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds isn't quite...equipped for the fight. Check it out below.
Munn recently dropped by IGN's San Francisco office last week to appear on an upcoming episode of the show Up at Noon, and also revealed a new theatrical standee for X-Men: Apocalypse. Reynolds is currently flying high as the star of Deadpool, which we described as " large dose of unwholesome fun" in our review.
Panda Devours Zombies at the Weekend Box Office
Super Bowl weekend was not kind to new releases at the North American box office as Kung Fu Panda 3 continued its reign at the top.
Hail, Caesar! fared best among the new releases, but even then it still managed to be the lowest-grossing wide release of the Coen Brothers' career.
The showbiz send-up, which is said to have cost $22 million to produce, bowed in second place with an estimated $11.4 million.
Critics were certainly kinder to Hail, Caesar! than audiences were; the film's "C-" CinemaScore indicates lousy word of mouth for it going ahead.
The 100: Big Trouble is Coming for Octavia and Bellamy
Last month at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, I spoke to several cast members from The 100, shortly before a panel for the show comprised of female cast members, joined by executive producer Jason Rothenberg.
Given I’d already seen the first few episodes of Season 3 at this point, some of these interviews needed to be held until viewers had a chance to witness some of the content we discussed, which is why you’ll see a few pieces of content from this day going up this week.
First off is Marie Avgeropoulos, who talks about Octavia’s continued discomfort amongst the Arkers, an upcoming rift with Bellamy, reconnecting with Indra, The 100's fandom and more…
