Tesla Hopes Tax Incentives Will Put Model 3 at $25,000
The Tesla Motors Model 3 will retail for $35,000, though buyers will actually get it for much cheaper.
Pre-orders for the electric car start as early as next month. The cost at time of purchase, however, does not include the significant tax breaks offered by the U.S. and state governments, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Bloomberg reports "these tax incentives can knock off as much as $10,000," which is significant in that it helps fulfill Tesla's objective of affordable electric vehicles. That's significantly cheaper than the Tesla Model S sports sedan. Though it's important to note that tax incentives are not equal in every state. Meanwhile the base, federal income tax incentive begins at $7,500.
Star Wars: Episode 8 Begins Filming
Star Wars: Episode VIII has started filming, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed during an investor call. Principal photography was delayed along with the film, which opens December 15, 2017.
In addition, Iger said that "production of Episode IX, a 2019 release, has also begun.” Presumably he is referring to pre-production or the opening of the Episode IX offices, and not actual shooting on the picture.
“Filming of Rogue One is virtually completed and we absolutely love what we’ve seen so far." Iger also stated, while adding that "EA's launch of Star Wars Battlefront was the biggest video game release in Star Wars history."
