Arrow: Stephen Amell on Whether Darhk’s Gone Too Far

You’ll be seeing a lot of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen on TV this week, though it will include two dramatically different versions of Green Arrow.

On Wednesday, in Arrow, Oliver will discover that Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) has taken his son, William. That big episode also includes the live-action debut of Vixen (Megalyn Echikunwoke), after the character was introduced in animation last year.

Amell will then appear the very next night on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as the Legends team finds themselves in 2046, where they encounter an older and notably altered Oliver.

With so much underway in the Arrow-verse, I had a lengthy conversation with Amell about both series.

Real-Life Call of Duty Looks Nuts in Grimsby

Sacha Baron Cohen's new film Grimsby hits UK cinemas on the 24th of February and we've got hold of a brand new clip featuring our favourite baldy hard-man, Mark Strong. We spoke to Mr Cohen recently and he told us they actually used Call of Duty to plan these first-person scenes and even opted to use actual COD gameplay to storyboard the action sequences. Looks pretty familiar, right?

You can check out Grimsby in the UK from February 24th or on March the 11th in the US where it's known as The Brothers Grimsby. Presumably because nobody in America appreciates the majestic beauty of Eastern England.

New Class Revealed for Blade & Soul

NCSoft has revealed the next class coming to Blade & Soul: the Warlock.

The Warlock will be coming on March 2 along with the Unchained update. It will be a ranged class "with great power but considerable fragility."

Its iconic aspect is the ability to summon a Thrall to the field which lasts for a short time but is able to engage enemies, thus protecting the Warlock. The new class' main damage dealing abilities are Dragoncall and Wingstorm, and its combos are designed to either reduce or reset the cooldowns on these spells.

The Warlock will also be applying afflictions to enemies, as well as supporting its party with handy buffing abilities.

Over on the Blade & Soul website, you'll be able to find examples of common combos that the Warlock can employ to defeat its foes.

Warpath Mode Revealed for Doom Multiplayer

Bethesda and id have revealed Warpath mode for Doom.

Warpath is a take on a normal King of the Hill mode, except the capture-point moves around the map in a circle along a marked path. At the same time, a demon rune circles the path on the opposite side of the map.

Grabbing the rune turns you into an extremely powerful demon, but won't get you the points you need to win, so you'll have to choose which objective to go for. Bethesda says that the moving objectives will force players to move just as fast as they do in single player, and discourage camping.

Single-use disposable items called Hack Modules have also been unveiled. These are unlocked as you play, and are not tied to microtransactions. Modules include the ability to see the location of all enemies after you spawn, the ability to see pickup respawn timers, the location of nearby power-ups, and so on.

Ben Wheatley's High-Rise is set to hit UK screens March 18, but in advance of the film's release, we've got our hands on the movie's brand-new kaleidoscope poster.

High-Rise is an adaptation of the acclaimed J.G. Ballard novel, with the synopsis as follows...

1975. Two miles west of London, Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) moves into his new apartment seeking soulless anonymity, only to find that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. Resigned to the complex social dynamics unfolding around him, Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly. As he struggles to establish his position, Laing’s good manners and sanity disintegrate along with the building. The lights go out and the lifts fail but the party goes on. People are the problem. Booze is the currency. Sex is the panacea. Only much later, as he sits on his balcony eating the architect’s dog, does Dr. Robert Laing finally feel at home.

Shane McMahon Returns to WWE, Gets a Hell of a Match

In a surprising turn tonight on RAW, Shane McMahon returned to TV after six years away and interrupted the opening segment featuring Vince giving Steph the "Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award."

From there, it was revealed that Shane has remained the heir to the WWE all along, despite Steph being the one to stay behind and work behind the scenes. Shane then said he wanted to take control of RAW. Vince agreed, but only if Shane wrestled one match. At WrestleMania 32.

Against The Undertaker. In a Hell in a Cell match.
