Fable Legends Open Beta Coming Spring 2016
Following last week's tease that new details on Fable Legends would be coming soon, Lionhead Studios has announced the game's open beta has been pushed to Spring 2016.
"Fable Legends is coming together well and it’s a lot of fun. But we think that we can make it even better," Lionhead said in a post on the game's official site. "So we’ve decided to extend our closed beta to continue to listen to feedback from our players and add features and polish that will make a real difference. This means Fable Legends won’t release into open beta this holiday as previously announced."
Suiciders Returns with King of HELL.A.
Lee Bermejo’s Suiciders will return in March 2016 for a its second arc, which has a new title, Suiciders: King of HELL.A. We’ve got your first look at the cover, some tidbits about the series from Bermejo, and a peek at the official solicit information.

"I couldn't be more excited to take people back into the world of Suiciders," Bermejo told us. "The second arc takes place 15 years before the first storyline, closer towards the moment of the earthquake, and delves into the wall being built and how the people of an already broken city deal with the powers that be trying to split what's left into two. I'll also explore the post disaster generation of youth and how they try to live and secure a future in a place that tries to eat you… sometimes quite literally. Expect cannibalism, gang warfare, revenge, and a love story all wrapped up in an L.A. noir with some fresh new characters and a few familiar faces."
Smash Bros. Director Confirms DLC Is Ending Soon
Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai says DLC for the Wii U version of the fighting brawler will come to a close soon.
In an interview featured in the Making of Fire Emblem: 25 Years of Development Secrets book, translated by Kantopia and SourceGaming, Sakurai responds to a question about Smash Bros. DLC by saying “Well, DLC is coming to an end soon, too, you know?”
Sakurai also fielded a question about making a completely new, non-Smash game, saying “It’s pretty difficult. If I keep making Smash, I get to work on interesting things like Ryu, but if I leave, I don’t know if the staff could do it by themselves.”

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Discounted In Sony’s Latest Christmas Deal
In the seventh deal of Sony's 12 Deals of Christmas promotion, discounts are available for Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
From now until 11.59pm GMT tonight, you can pick up the standard digital game for €45/£35 (was €70), the Gold Edition for €55/£50 (was €100), and/or the Season Pass for €20/£16 (was €30).
Other discounts this festive period have included Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Mad Max, WWE 2K16, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, and Destiny: The Taken King and Need for Speed.
System Shock 3 Is Official, Might Come to VR
System Shock 3 has been officially announced by OtherSide Entertainment.
We received word of a sequel to the classic cyberpunk adventure through OtherSide's rather obvious teaser site a few days ago, along with a timer. With the countdown complete, visitors to the site are now greeted by a verdant SHODAN — the series' iconic and unstable A.I.
The updated page links to a survey asking prospective players for their preferred consoles, as well as their interest in virtual reality. This could very well indicate that VR support is under consideration, while also hinting that the game likely isn't all that far in development.

Independence Day: The Fate of Will Smith’s Character Revealed
The official 'viral' site for Independence Day Resurgence has revealed what happened to Will Smith's character, Colonel Steven Hiller.
Spoiler warning ahead.
If you jump to 2007 on the site's interactive timeline, you'll see a "World Mourns Col Hillier" headline. The copy reads:
"While test piloting the ESD's first alien hybrid fighter, an unknown malfunction causes the untimely death of Col. Hiller. Hiller's valor in the War of '96 made him a beloved global icon whose selfless assault against the alien mothership lead directly to the enemy's defeat. He is survived by his wife Jasmine and his son Dylan."
Netflix Streaming Isn’t Full HD in Some Browsers
Several popular web browsers don't support Netflix video streaming full 1080p HD.
According to Netflix support (via BGR), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera only support up to 720p resolution. Meanwhile, those using Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge or Safari (on Mac OS X 10.10.3 or later) can stream video content from Netflix in up to 1080p.

Earlier this year, Netflix raised the monthly fee for its main plan, increasing the HD 2-stream option from $8.99 to $9.99 a month in the United States.
Will Ferrell Returns as George W. Bush on SNL
Will Ferrell returned as George W. Bush on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live to poke a bit of fun at not only the 43 President of the United States, but also the entire lineup of Republicans running for president.
In the skit, Ferrell's Bush takes the podium to announce he's entering the presidential race, saying the "field of Republicans out there are so messed up." He then goes on to specifically call out several of the candidates, including Ben Carson and Donald Trump. Find out what he had to say about each in the clip below.
Ferrell's upcoming films include Zoolander 2 and Daddy's Home, which opens on Christmas Day. In fact, Ferrell took out a cheerleader with a basketball during a Lakers-Pelicans game for the upcoming comedy.
