Team Fortress 2 Offers More Contracts in the Tough Break Update

Team Fortress 2 is getting new cosmetics, community maps, and another contract campaign in today's Tough Break update.

The patch is similar to this year's Gun Mettle update, in that it brings new achievement-style activities to complete with new weapons and cases as rewards. These come in the so-called Tough Break Campaign, which will run you $6 and last for three months.

If you don't have the in-game equipment necessary to complete a specific challenge, you're in luck. Tough Break will include a new "Loaner Program," allowing players to rent specific weapons for the purpose of completing contracts. As developer Valve puts it "It's like a library, but for murder accessories!"

Twin Peaks Return Teaser

Showtime's upcoming Twin Peaks revival has debuted its first teaser.

One would expect the mysterious series, once more guided by David Lynch and Mark Frost, to not spoil too much in its first reveal, and that's precisely the case here. What we get is some behind-the-scenes footage of actor Michael Horse ("Hawk") discussing returning to the series over imagery of the familiar Twin Peaks scenery... and a closing shot that, if part of the actual show, hints that things are still quite dangerous in the not so sleepy town, via a blurry look at a grey-haired figure. Could that simply by David Lynch behind-the-scenes, Lynch in-character as Gordon Cole, Ray Wise somehow back as Leland Palmer or someone else entirely?

The Man in the High Castle Renewed for Season 2

Amazon has given its dark, trippy Ridley Scott/Frank Spotnitz series, The Man in the High Castle, a second season.

Based on the award-winning Philip K. Dick novel, the series - starring Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, and Rufus Sewell - launched back on November 20th with ten Season 1 episodes.

Set in an alternate world in which the United States was on the losing end of World War II and is now controlled by Germany and Japan, with a “buffer zone” in the Rocky Mountains between the areas the two powers oversee, The Man in the High Castle offered up a nightmarish and compelling "What If?" look at history.

A premiere date for Season 2 hasn’t been set.
