M&M’s Forms Partnership with X-Men: Apocalypse
The CG-animated M&M's characters are about to become a little more super-powered.
Mars Chocolate has agreed to a cross-promotional sponsorship with 20th Century Fox to help with the marketing efforts for next year's X-Men: Apocalypse.
The deal will include retail displays and special packaging markings, TV and cinema commercials, and social media posts featuring the M&M's characters mixed with elements of the X-Men.
The film centers on the eponymous character Apocalypse, an all-powerful mutant who awakens after a centuries-long rest and vows to start a new world order. Along the way, he amasses an army of mutants to aid him in world domination, including a disillusioned Magneto.
Robert Kirkman Talks Fear the Walking Dead Season 2
Creator Robert Kirkman confirmed at New York Comic-Con that Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 will pick up more or less where Season 1 left off.
Spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 follow.
Yep, the next season will continue the boat thread that began at the end of the S1 finale, with the cast making their escape from the undead hordes of Los Angeles by sea instead of by land. So will we be seeing zombie mayhem on the water?
“There’s definitely some zombie water action coming up,” Kirkman said, before joking that “maybe you’ll see the Walking Dead cruise come passing by" (which is a real thing happening in January, by the way).
Incredibles 2 and Cars 3 Release Dates Revealed
Disney has announced that Cars 3 will come out June 16, 2017, followed by The Incredibles 2 opening June 21, 2019.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cars 3 has taken over the spot originally reserved for Toy Story 4, with that film now pushed back to June 15, 2018. What's also notable is the fact Incredibles 2 director Brad Bird said last month that his film would come out before Cars 3, but that's obviously not the case.
The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3 were previously announced in March 2014.
12 Monkeys: What to Expect in Season 2
An enthusiastic New York crowd welcomed the cast and creator of the SyFy original series to New York Comic Con 2015. In attendance were Aaron Stanford (James Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly), Kirk Acevedo (Ramse), Barbara Sukowa (Dr. Jones), Emily Hampshire (Jennifer Goines), Todd Stashwick (Deacon) and creator Terry Matalas.
The charm of the show lies in following the complicated timelines, mysteries and character arcs, and while the panelists didn't offer too many spoilers for Season 2, there were some interesting developments mentioned that should make the new year even more of a wild ride. Attendees were treated to a preview of scenes from the upcoming season that featured plenty of action and tense moments, but the most intriguing aspects were the host of different period costumes and locations crammed into the reel.

Dust: An Elysian Tail – ($5.99)
From our Review of the Xbox 360 Version: I've always believed that 2D got pushed aside before its time had truly come. New tech arrived and forced things forward, leaving us to wonder what kinds of two-dimensional games might have been made with more powerful hardware to back them. Dust: An Elysian Tail, is a great example of such a game. Hand-drawn and animated by one lone developer, it's a beautifully penned love letter to fans of the Metroidvania sub-genre. Whether you play for an absorbing story, exciting combat, or the joy of exploration, Dust has you covered.

Facebook ‘Reactions’ Add Emoji Options to the ‘Like’ Button
Facebook developers have heard the demands of users and are preparing to roll out a new feature to provide more context to the "Like" button.
Called Reactions, this feature adds several emojis to Facebook's iconic thumbs-up symbol that can be used in place of a binary "Like." With six total, these Reactions feature love, laughter, excitement, surprise, sadness, and anger. Any of these six can be used in place of the "Like," expressing different emotions that may be more suited for a particular post than a simple thumbs-up.
Tech Crunch reports Reactions will begin testing in Spain and Ireland, two countries selected as the best forms of a closed test group due to their generally dedicated national base and numbers showing fewer international friends.
Disney Retires Nearly 100 Mobile Games
Disney has announced that it is retiring nearly a hundred of its games and apps across mobile and PC.
Affected games include Star Wars: Tiny Death Star and Star Wars: Assault Team, whose retirement was discovered this week, as well as other notable titles such as Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: Le Chuck's Revenge for iOS and a number of Marvel titles.
"Although the decision was difficult to make, this will allow us to focus on building new and more engaging games," Disney says on a help page on its website. Many of the retired games are based on older Disney films, so it's likely that Disney may want to shift its focus to more recent properties.
