X-Men: Apocalypse is “Heartbreaking”, Wraps Up Six Movies
Magneto has made veteran X-Men director Bryan Singer cry on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse.
During the San Pedro International Film Festival, Singer was asked about what to expect from the upcoming X-Men movie.
In his response, Singer mentioned that fans can expect a running time in excess of two hours, but that doesn't mean X-Men: Apocalypse is boring.
Singer refers to it as a "wrap-up of six movies" and said we can expect the trailer in six months.
Expect an emphasis on pathos in the sixth core X-Men movie and, in particular, a scene from Michael Fassbender that made his director cry.

Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson, Gary Oldman Joins Star Citizen Cast
The cast of Star Citizen's single-player component Squadron 42 stars actors Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson and more, Cloud Imperium announced during CitizenCon 2015 this weekend.
A bevy of actors lend their likenesses and voices to the space simulation, with Gary Oldman playing Admiral Bishop, the first Squadron 42 character officially revealed. The trio join other cast members Andy Serkis, Ben Mendelsohn, Mark Strong, Harry Treadway, Jack Huston, John Rhys-Davies, and more.

Bryan Cranston Reveals The Marvel Villain He Wants to Play
Remember how Bryan Cranston recently said he'd like to play a "nasty" Marvel villain? He just revealed who he has in mind.
During a panel for his new show SuperMansion at New York Comic-Con - moderated by IGN's Eric Goldman - Cranston revealed he'd like to play Mr. Sinister.
"What do you think?" he asked the crowd, which preceded to go wild.
Cranston had previously said he'd like to play a completely new villain, but it seems he's changed his mind. And why not? Mr. Sinister was introduced into the X-Men universe in 1987, and is one of those "all-in-one" mutants: a telepathic genius who can project energy, shape-shift, regenerate and generally be a real pain in the ass to anybody who dares to cross him. More, he's yet to appear in Fox's cinematic X-Men series. Said Cranston, "“It intrigues me to be able to play a character that hasn’t been on film before, so you can create it from the beginning."

Star Wars Battlefront Beta Extended by a Day
Enjoying the beta for Star Wars Battlefront? Good news! EA has extended it by a day.
There's a flipside however; the extra time is for technical tests, meaning you may experience connectivity issues from Monday 12th October through to the 13th. As per community manager Mathew Everett (@Sledgehammer70) on the official Star Wars Battlefront forums:
"Hope you’re enjoying the Star Wars Battlefront beta and thank you for playing – every time you log on, it’s helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure.
Mark Hamill Returning in The Flash: S2 as the Trickster
Mark Hamill will definitely be reprising his role as the Trickster in The Flash's second season.
After a photo of Hamill posing with a Flash crew member sprung up on Reddit, Hamill himself confirmed the news in a now deleted Tweet (as nabbed by TheFlashPodcast.com). He has since recirculated others reporting the news on Twitter.
Hamill first starred as the Trickster in the John Wesley Shipp series in 1990, and went on to play the character - spectacularly - in an episode of The CW's speedster show.

Pan Bombs Big at the Weekend Box Office
As had been widely expected, director Joe Wright's Pan failed to fly at the box office this weekend, opening in third place with an estimated $15.5 million. The fantasy epic starring Hugh Jackman reportedly carries a hefty $150 million price tag.
Hope that Pan could make up ground overseas appears dim as it only pulled in roughly $20.5 million abroad. Pan was initially set for a summer release before getting postponed to October.
Pan wasn't the only film getting bad news this weekend. Director Robert Zemeckis' The Walk faced a muted response during its initial exclusive IMAX engagement and fared poorly in wide release, finishing in seventh place with an estimated $3.7 million.
Paul Reubens Will Play The Penguin’s Father on Gotham
Paul Reubens of Pee-wee Herman fame will reprise his role as The Penguin's father, Tucker Cobblepot, in this season of Gotham. Reubens previously played the wealthy Cobblepot in Tim Burton's 1992 film Batman Returns, which is actually where the character himself debuted.
Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin) on Gotham, revealed the news during a New York Comic-Con panel on the hit television show.
Gotham first aired last year on Fox and launched its second on September 21st.

Star Wars Aftermath: Life Debt, Empire’s End Revealed
The final two novels in Chuck Wendig's Star Wars: Aftermath trilogy were revealed this weekend at New York Comic Con.
Titled Star Wars Aftermath: Life Debt and Star Wars Aftermath: Empire's End, Del Rey's pair of upcoming books continue the story of Star Wars: Aftermath, which chronicles the events following Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi and leads into Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In a pair of Twitter posts by StarWarsBooks, the publisher announced both books, along with confirmation that Life Debut will be out Summer 2016 and Empire's End will arrive sometime in 2017.
Frankenstein Comes Alive in Lookinglass
Executive producers Howard Gordon (24, Homeland), Rand Ravich (Life, Crisis) and star Rob Kasinsky (True Blood) were on hand to introduce Lookinglass to the New York Comic Con audience, screen the premiere and talk about the process of bringing the show to life.
Lookinglass is part police mystery and part sci-fi thriller with a bit of horror thrown in - not necessarily because of gore, but because of the themes it echoes from the original Frankenstein mythology. In fact, the show was originally called "The Frankenstein Code" but the producers changed the title to put more focus on the characters rather than the original literary monster.
Due to a late start, there wasn't much time for a Q and A with the panelists. However, even though there will be a full review of the show coming up in the future from IGN, first impressions are that Lookinglass is a strong pilot with a lot going for it.
