Does your iPhone have a power hungry processor?
Last week news broke that the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus feature two different processor chips, one from Samsung and the other from TSMC. Early benchmarking tests showed that their performance was nearly identical. The same can’t be said about the battery life, surprisingly. But how much of a difference is there between the chips?
Initial research showed a 20% difference in battery life between the Samsung and TSMC chips, in favor of the TSMC. But I’m not convinced that there’s any reason for iPhone 6s or 6s Plus owners to exchange their phones with the Samsung processor. While synthetic benchmarks are useful for a baseline comparison, real world performance is completely different. It’s unlikely you’ll notice the battery life difference between the two processors in day to day use, unless you’re running the CPU at full speed constantly.
Huge H1Z1 Update Adds Medical Facility, Female Zombie
A new update for H1Z1 arrives on Wednesday, adding a slew of new features to Daybreak's zombie survival game.
In addition to ATVs, which will be available for exploring the game's post-apocalyptic open world, the October update also features a new location. Dubbed Kurama Medical, this new facility offers players an additional area to explore and hunt for new items.
The update also brings with it the Item Exchange System, which not only allows you to bundle together items for trading, but also features extremely rare content you can only attain through this feature. Mercenary Crate is being added as well, which serves up new ghillie suits and accompanying skins.
Finally, H1Z1's latest update includes the addition of the game's first female zombie, voiced by Twitch streamer LegendaryLea.

Apes 3 Casts Steve Zahn as a New Ape Lead
Veteran actor Steve Zahn has reportedly joined the cast of War for the Planet of the Apes, 20th Century Fox's third installment in the rebooted sci-fi franchise.
According to TheWrap, Zahn "has been cast as a new ape" in the film. His credits include Treme, Modern Family, Sahara, Dallas Buyer's Club, Joy Ride, Knights of Badassdom, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Matt Reeves returns to direct the film, which he co-scripted with Mark Bomback.
Sarah Shahi and Amy Acker On Root and Shaw in Season 5 of Person of Interest
Person of Interest's Season 4 finale left the Machine in bad shape and the team in a dark place. When the series returns to CBS, they'll pick up right after they left off. Executive producers Greg Plageman and Chris Fisher, producer Margot Lulick, and cast members Jim Caviezel (John Reese), Michael Emerson (Harold Finch), Kevin Chapman (Lionel Fusco), Sarah Shahi (Sameen Shaw), and Amy Acker (Root) joined IGN's own Eric Goldman at New York Comic Con to discuss what's happening next with The Machine and Root and Shaw.
Plageman said the Machine definitely has problems. A trailer that opened the panel showed there are issues with the facial recognition. "It's not kicking out numbers right away, that's for sure," Plageman said. He continued, "The thing about the Machine right now is we're not sure if it has a heartbeat and even if it does, if we have a chance to resuscitate it." He said they pick back up in real time, and there's a lot of action in the opening. He warned Season 5 will bring a lot of tumult, a lot of change, and a lot of heartbreak. He said, "There won't be any filler."
George Miller: Furiosa Isn’t in Mad Max Sequel Story
Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa may not appear in the followup to Mad Max: Fury Road, as director George Miller has confirmed the character isn't featured in his sequel story.
"I'm not sure, is the answer," Miller told Digital Spy when asked about Furiosa's possible return. "She's not in the Mad Max
story, but in one of the stories there's an interaction between
. I can't really say more than that because it's still in progress."
MIller also confirmed that the name of his upcoming Fury Road sequel has yet to be decided, as Mad Max: The Wasteland is merely a working title at this point. "That name came out, that was just a working title," Miller said.
Fargo Returns Tonight: Get all the Info
The acclaimed Fargo returns Monday night to FX with a new season and an entirely new group of characters – well, mostly new, as the character of Lou Solverson returns from Season 2, but as a much younger man (with Patrick Wilson stepping in for Keith Carradine), as the show moves to 1979.
You’ll also see Season 1’s hero, Molly Solverson, albeit as a very young girl, as the show tells a story that will explain what exactly transpired in Sioux Falls, as ominously mentioned in Season 1. The new crop of characters includes Ted Danson as Molly’s grandfather (and yet another cop in the family) and Cristin Milioti as her mother; a crime family, the Gerhardts, played by the likes of Jean Smart, Jeffrey Donovan, Kieran Culkin and Michael Hogan; a normal suburban couple (played by Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons) who become wrapped up in the chaos; and none other than Ronald Reagan himself, played by Bruce Campbell (!), as he campaigns for his rise to president.
iZombie Writers Tease New Brain Dishes and Personalities
With iZombie airing its second episode of Season 2 tomorrow, we attended a press screening to get some information on the upcoming episode.
Hear what show writers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright had to say about Liv’s brain-eating habits and what to expect from the other characters. Then be sure to check back on IGN after the episode airs for a spoiler-filled article that dives deep into the episode.
Warning: no direct spoilers below, but they do talk about the general direction of Season 2 and what some characters will be up to.
Thomas: It's trying to keep himself and Liv alive, and in order to do that he has to take out these zombies. ... You're going to watch him do that for a long time. I mean, it's going to be a moral crisis for him. ... It will be tearing him apart, and it doesn't get any easier for him for a long time. So part of the journey, he's not going to just sit back and take it all season. At some point he's got to figure out how to turn the tables on Max Rager. It's not that you will watch 22 episodes of him forlornly, simply going about this task. I mean, one of the fun things about Season 1 and what we pitched Robert Buckley when we got him to agree to do this was that there was going to be this journey, and he would be a man of action. He's been put in another pretty awful predicament, but part of the journey will be him trying to figure a way out of it.
